Job Summary:
Operate PVD coating furnaces to coat carbide and Cermet inserts.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Load and unload fixtures with product into furnaces.
Ensure that the product is set up correctly and sufficiently clean.
Enter product weights and desired coating cycle information and other related data into computer as required. Start and monitor the coating process.
Properly clean fixtures and base plates between heats.
Ensure adequate gas supply.
Replace gas tanks as needed.
Ensure targets and melts are adequate to run the process being loaded.
Perform test on standards to ensure coating thickness and adhesion are within specifications.
Perform batch cleanings at proper intervals.
Operate other equipment including parts blaster, as needed.
Will be responsible for setting up and separating product.
Keep area and equipment clean.
Education and Experience:
Must have High School diploma or GED.
2 year technical degree preferred.
Work Environment: Controlled temperatures and humidity room. Dust collection and system in place. Safety glasses with side shields required. Safety Shoes Required. Self-contained breathing apparatus available in case of furnace malfunction. Environment monitored for hazardous gases. Noise levels not over eighty-five db for more than eight hours on a time weighted average. Hearing protection recommended and incumbent placed in a hearing preservation program.
Physical Demands: Approximately eight hours standing with two break opportunities per eight hour work period. Intermittent walking, reaching, sitting and bending. Lifting insert trays weighing no more than thirty-three (33) pounds.
Problem Solving: Incumbents are responsible for the furnace performance. Job duties are performed with latitude. Supervisors must be notified of any deviation from operating procedures. Solve furnace related problems by using learned knowledge and reasoning skills and by consulting supervisors and co-workers.

Position Requirements:
* Qualified candidates will have a BS in Engineering, business or a related field, a minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, and 5 years of related manufacturing management experience.

EHS Manager- Plant
Position Description:
This position is responsible for leading and driving the corporate and site level EHS strategy, culture and compliance for the Orwell, Ohio facility. The EHS Manager will lead and drive EHS strategy and performance, compliance, develop and implement systems and standards across the site.
Essential Duties:
* Lead and drive Environmental Health and Safety strategy and execute action plans aligned with company strategic objectives.
* Implement and drive sustainable of EHS management systems, regulatory programs, and processes to support compliance and management systems with a heavy emphasis on FSI prevention.
* Work as a part of the operations Leadership team with dotted line responsibilities to the plant manager.
* Manage all aspects of EHS compliance programs at the location with a heavy emphasis on critical safety programs as well as critical environmental permits.
* Implementation of corporate EHS standards to assure compliance with internal standards and consistency across locations.
* Work directly with the location leadership to drive a value based EHS culture and ensure clear EHS roles and responsibilities are assigned to all employees.
* Responsible for implementation and management of the EHS management systems such as Gensuite and MTS learning management systems.
* Lead EHS capital investment projects for process improvements, compliance, as well as fatality and serious injury prevention.
* Lead and manage the industrial hygiene program.
* Responsible for all aspects of environmental, including Air Permitting, Waste Management and Water compliance.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 year of EHS experience in manufacturing setting.
* Certified safety professional degree or other applicable degree strongly preferred
* Strong knowledge and application of OSHA/EPA requirements.
* Excellent leadership and people skills
* Excellent communication both written and verbal.

Primarily responsible for providing expert knowledge and leadership in the development, application, and deployment of advanced materials and material processing technologies, utilizing an understanding of materials thermodynamics, materials thermal processing fundamentals, and ferrous metallurgy.
Specific duties include:
* Conceives, plans, and executes projects working either alone or in collaboration with others to address the needs of the business units or corporate centers. Takes a lead role in collaborative effort to solve complex problems while requiring novel approaches that leverage and/or further advanced engineering research in metallurgy and materials science. (40%);
* Interacts proactively with product development, sales, marketing, and manufacturing. Leads activities with outside vendors and suppliers to accomplish project goals. (30%);

Requirements:
* Ph.D. in Metallurgy, Materials Science or similar field and 24 months of experience in a Materials Engineer or similar position.
* Experience must include expertise in corrosion testing and materials characterization using SEM-EDS and XRD.

Manual Chemical Process Operator II

Shift: 12-hour Nights, 6:40PM - 6:40AM
Job Summary:
Operate PVD coating furnaces to coat carbide and Cermet inserts.
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Load and unload fixtures with product into furnaces.
* Ensure that the product is set up correctly and sufficiently clean.
* Enter product weights and desired coating cycle information and other related data into computer as required. Start and monitor the coating process.
* Properly clean fixtures and base plates between heats.
* Ensure adequate gas supply.
* Replace gas tanks as needed.
* Ensure targets and melts are adequate to run the process being loaded.
* Perform test on standards to ensure coating thickness and adhesion are within specifications.
* Perform batch cleanings at proper intervals.
* Operate other equipment including parts blaster, as needed.
* Will be responsible for setting up and separating product.
* Keep area and equipment clean.
Education and Experience:
* Must have High School diploma or GED.
* 2 year technical degree preferred.
Work Environment: Controlled temperatures and humidity room. Dust collection and system in place. Safety glasses with side shields required. Safety Shoes Required. Self-contained breathing apparatus available in case of furnace malfunction. Environment monitored for hazardous gases. Noise levels not over eighty-five db for more than eight hours on a time weighted average. Hearing protection recommended and incumbent placed in a hearing preservation program.
Physical Demands: Approximately eight hours standing with two break opportunities per eight hour work period. Intermittent walking, reaching, sitting and bending. Lifting insert trays weighing no more than thirty-three (33) pounds.
Problem Solving: Incumbents are responsible for the furnace performance. Job duties are performed with latitude. Supervisors must be notified of any deviation from operating procedures. Solve furnace related problems by using learned knowledge and reasoning skills and by consulting supervisors and co-workers.
