PVD Furnace Operator 12 hour night rotating shift - 6:40 pm - 6:40 am Job Summary Operate PVD coating furnaces to coat carbide and Cermet inserts. Key Job Responsibilities Load and unload fixtures with product into furnaces. Ensure that the product is set up correctly and sufficiently clean. Enter product weights and desired coating cycle information and other related data into computer as required. Start and monitor the coating process. Properly clean fixtures and base plates between heats. Ensure adequate gas supply. Replace gas tanks as needed. Ensure targets and melts are adequate to run the process being loaded. Perform test on standards to ensure coating thickness and adhesion are within specifications. Perform batch cleanings at proper intervals. Operate other equipment including parts blaster, as needed. Will be responsible for setting up and separating product. Keep area and equipment clean. Key Job Accountabilities Commitment to working safely and understand all safety procedures. Deviations in routine are handled according to operating procedures and/or work instructions. Operator responsible for following inspection control plan, assuring product is processed according to proper routings, specifications and the quantity and style are correct. Physical Demands Approximately eight hours standing with two break opportunities per eight hour work period. Intermittent walking, reaching, sitting and bending. Lifting insert trays weighing no more than thirty-three (33) pounds. Problem Solving Incumbents are responsible for the furnace performance. Job duties are performed with latitude. Supervisors must be notified of any deviation from operating procedures. Solve furnace related problems by using learned knowledge and reasoning skills and by consulting supervisors and co-workers.     Mechanical Engineers in the Option Engineering group are responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components used in Makino's advanced machine tools, including machining centers, EDM machines, and automation equipment. This role involves creating detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical documentation, while working closely with other Makino teams across the engineering, manufacturing, software, and service areas. Engineers in this position also support testing and verification, collaborate with suppliers, and provide technical support to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions to our customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and custom options for Makino machine tool products. Designs typically involve hydraulic/pneumatic control systems, sheet metal and machined components, coolant filtration systems, sensor applications, and Makino automation systems . Create and manage 3D models and 2D drawings using modeling and CAD programs, such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD/Draftsight. Generate and maintain engineering documentation including BOMs, design notes, and release forms. Lead design reviews and collaborate with teams including electrical, software, manufacturing, and service. Collaborate with other Global Makino engineering departments to investigate designs, create local option content and customer specific solutions, and implement product improvements. Position Title: EHS Manager- Plant Position Description: This position is responsible for leading and driving the corporate and site level EHS strategy, culture and compliance for the Orwell, Ohio facility. Qualifications/Requirements: Minimum of 3 year of EHS experience in manufacturing setting. Certified safety professional degree or other applicable degree strongly preferred Strong knowledge and application of OSHA/EPA requirements. Manual Chemical Process Operator II Orwell, OH Shift: 12-hour Nights, 6:40PM - 6:40AM Job Summary: Operate PVD coating furnaces to coat carbide and Cermet inserts. Key Job Responsibilities: * Load and unload fixtures with product into furnaces. * Ensure that the product is set up correctly and sufficiently clean. * Enter product weights and desired coating cycle information and other related data into computer as required. Start and monitor the coating process. * Properly clean fixtures and base plates between heats. * Ensure adequate gas supply. * Replace gas tanks as needed. * Ensure targets and melts are adequate to run the process being loaded. * Perform test on standards to ensure coating thickness and adhesion are within specifications. * Perform batch cleanings at proper intervals. * Operate other equipment including parts blaster, as needed. * Will be responsible for setting up and separating product. * Keep area and equipment clean. Education and Experience: * Must have High School diploma or GED. * 2 year technical degree preferred. Work Environment: Controlled temperatures and humidity room. Dust collection and system in place. Safety glasses with side shields required. Safety Shoes Required. Self-contained breathing apparatus available in case of furnace malfunction. Environment monitored for hazardous gases. Noise levels not over eighty-five db for more than eight hours on a time weighted average. Hearing protection recommended and incumbent placed in a hearing preservation program. Physical Demands: Approximately eight hours standing with two break opportunities per eight hour work period. Intermittent walking, reaching, sitting and bending. Lifting insert trays weighing no more than thirty-three (33) pounds. Problem Solving: Incumbents are responsible for the furnace performance. Job duties are performed with latitude. Supervisors must be notified of any deviation from operating procedures. Solve furnace related problems by using learned knowledge and reasoning skills and by consulting supervisors and co-workers.
