Set up and operate multiple Carbide Presses which may include the following machines: Osterwalder 160, Osterwalder 160LX, Osterwalder 320, Osterwalder 640 or Dorst. Computercontrolled setup using the HMI (human machine interfaces) to make adjustment to programs for press set-ups.
Load and off-load inserts from multiple presses.
Gage inserts to insure proper dimensions.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Spacer Lathe Operator operates and maintains a line to produce precision parts. In this role you will focus on determining work assignments and resolving issues for the team, train other machinists, provide leadership to inexperienced machinists, maintenance requests, safety incident reporting, manage production schedule and machine high-quality parts on a timely basis to meet customer demands and at times performing set-ups, modifying, and creating programs, and operating various types of CNC Machines.
Sign On Bonus: $3000.00
Pay Scale: $35/hr. - $40/hr.

Hours: Friday-Monday (3, 10 hour day shifts (Friday-Sunday) plus 6 hours on Monday morning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Responsible for leading production in the CNC Milling/Lathe areas and communicating with leads on other shifts.
Responsible for managing daily priorities, assigning work to those in the department to maintain optimal flow. Prioritize work based upon product and resources.
Participate in daily production and GEMBA meetings to maintain constant communication of scheduled work.
Monitors CNC Machinist productivity to ensure correct machining processes are used and department activities are consistent with manufacturing objectives.
Plan and coordinate workflow with other departments and scheduling function.
Supports company policies working with direct reports and collaborates with the Leadership Team to resolve issues/concerns.
Interview and evaluate applicants for vacant positions.
At times you are expected to setup and operate a variety of CNC equipment to produce components using engineering drawings and specifications.
Leads process improvement, process development, and productivity improvement efforts.
Ensure employees are performing and documenting in-process QA inspections, labor entry, and safety near miss/injuries.
Responsible for managing and consistently maintaining a clean and organized department.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, due to contractual requirements
At least 5 years relevant experience in a machining environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2-year previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Contract Manufacturing experience highly desirable
Proven ability to work in a fast past work environment.
Knowledge and understanding of ERP system and Microsoft office suite.
Ability to read blueprints, use micrometers, calipers, and other QA gauges
Ability to setup and operate machine tools.
Ability to program machine tools.
