Type of Vacancy: Contractor (1099) Compensation: Compensation includes paid training and onboarding. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Program department's primary purpose is to design, deliver, and continuously improve teacher professional learning programs that strengthen instructional practice and drive student achievement. The team's main functions include managing and implementing scopes of work with partners, providing coaching and professional learning for teachers and leaders, and creating research-based content and learning assets tailored to partner needs. The Program department contributes to Teaching Lab's mission by ensuring that every partnership drives measurable impact on teacher practice and student learning, advancing educational equity at scale.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Facilitator/Coach's primary responsibility is to facilitate professional learning and provide instructional coaching for educators and school leaders, with a focus on implementing high-quality instructional materials and research-based practices. With support from their project team members, the Facilitator/Coach will also hold responsibilities in the following areas:
Designing and delivering professional development sessions, including engaging in feedback cycles and adjusting based on participant input
Providing tailored 1:1 coaching and group learning experiences for educators, both in-person and virtually
Building collaborative, trusting relationships with educators and leaders to strengthen instructional capacity and improve student outcomes
Supporting data collection, reporting, and reflection processes to measure the effectiveness and impact of coaching and professional learning initiatives
The Facilitator/Coach role is an individual contributor-level contractor role with no management responsibilities. This role is essential to ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality professional learning and coaching that drives teacher growth and student success. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Work Experience, and Knowledge

Experience implementing Ohio's Learning Standards
At least two (2) years of experience as an instructional coach to teachers or school leaders with evidence of impact in student learning outcomes

At Teaching Lab, our coaches and facilitators play a vital role in advancing our mission by delivering high-quality professional learning experiences.
There is no guarantee of hours. The number of service hours and the specific hours are dependent on the projects we have and when you are available.
These roles are project-based and flexible, with opportunities communicated several weeks in advance so you can align them with your schedule. Provide high level financial forecasting and management support to assigned faculty, predominantly sponsored basic science research and training grants but also including gift and discretionary funds. Carpentry: Installs wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work; designs and installs cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation; adds fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures; cuts keys; selects lumber to suit each job; calculates the number of fasteners required for each job; liaises with customers, suppliers and other construction professionals; works to specifications prepared by construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations.
Painting: Examine surfaces to determine the work necessary; makes on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures, etc. Prepares walls and other surfaces by scraping, sanding, removing old paint etc. Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster). Landscaper/Grounds: Mow, edge, and fertilize lawns. Weed and mulch landscape beds. Trim hedges, shrubs, and small trees. Remove dead, damaged, or unwanted trees or branches. Plant flowers, trees, shrubs, and other plants. Apply pesticides, herbicides, or other treatments to plants or soil. Snow removal utilizing plow trucks with salt spreaders, skid steers, snow blowers, shovels.
4. Plans and completes assigned projects from inception through completion; selects, orders and distributes project materials and supplies.
5. Provides for a safe work environment and ensures safety regulations are adhered to.

General Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Head Coach to instruct/coach student athletes in how to perform their sport, including about training, physical health, good sportsmanship, teamwork, and safety. Requirements:
Previous collegiate coaching experience and collegiate playing experience within sport strongly preferred. Clearances required. Knowledge of WPCC, PCAA, NJCAA and some NCAA rules preferred. Valid driver's license and ability to operate College van. May require overnight travel.
Duties:
Assist Head Coach to organize, communicate and conduct individual and team practices/exercises, identify student athletes' strengths and weaknesses to provide constructive feedback, balancing criticism with positivity and motivation. Assist head coach to teach/coach relevant rules, regulations, skills, tactics, techniques and equipment of the sport.
Assist to promote and instruct student athletes about good sportsmanship, teamwork, and safety. Assist Head Coach to ensure that student athletes train and perform to a high standard of health and safety at all times; Advise about health and lifestyle issues.
Model sports-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.
Recruit perspective athletes.
Assist with preparation of schedule and communicate games with athletes; attend and participate with games as assigned.
Assist Heath Coach with inventory, distribute, and collect all team uniforms and equipment. Prepare any necessary items and areas of the sport prior to practices or games.
Assist with advertising and promoting the sport on campuses and centers. Compile game and season statistics and submit to any organizations as necessary or required (e.g. newspaper, sport association reporting requirements).
Assist with travel arrangements with Athletic Director/Director of Student Life and drive College vehicle as needed or required.
Assist with fundraising projects for team trips.
Coordinate with Athletic Director and/or Head Coach to attend at least one new student orientation.
Assist with administrative support tasks, such as, processes and communication regarding eligibility requirements, emergency data, distribution and reconciling of student's funds/fees, compliance and year-end reporting, and other related records/paperwork.
Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
