CLASSIFICATIONSUMMARY Under general supervision, a Maintenance & Construction Craftsworker - Warehouse/Fleet performs a wide variety of semi-skilled and general work in the Executive Services Department and may be temporarily assigned to other Departments within the City as required. Must possess the skills, knowledge and physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position and must comply with City and Department policies, procedures and methods at all times. Must demonstrate an ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Warehouse Division: Inventory - Controls all aspects of warehouse inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels, accurate tracking, efficient storage, and timely fulfillment. Implements best practices using inventory software to support overall cost control and customer satisfaction. Performs regular cycle counts and physical inventory of warehouse stock. Prepares purchasing requisitions for needed goods and materials; determines the availability of stock; investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies; assists in maintenance and periodic inventory of central store supplies; processes and delivers pick ticket requisitions as material is requested and received; using work orders, issues needed materials from inventory to various departmental employees; identifies and tags all items that qualify for the City's fixed asset inventory and inventory stock for Fleet Maintenance. Receiving - Verifies condition and completeness of orders and unloads, electronically records, and stocks inventory items; delivers received orders to the requesting department; may pick up orders from local vendors and deliver to job sites; operates the forklift; cleans and organizes the storeroom so that all items can be easily located and retrieved; assists in maintaining an organization guide identifying where storeroom items are located; handles freight claims for damage and shortage; locates required and matchingpaperworkandpreparesgoodsfordelivery;recommendschangesin stock levels and materials stored; recommends changes to procedures that may result in cost savings; recommends changes in layout of storage area to facilitate access and utilize space most efficiently; stores items in such a way to prevent loss or damage; recommends changes in inventory recording systems to increase efficiency and usefulness; informs the Purchasing Department of any vendor-related problems, including delivery schedules, non-filled orders and condition of goods received; assists Purchasing Department and Procurement Specialists in expediting back orders; keeps accurate files and data on surplus, receiving and inspection reports, incoming freight bills and receiving copies; operates the City's financial and tracking software, including Tyler Enterprise ERP and Asset Management; and performs related work and weekend and overtime work as required. Fleet Division: Service Writing - Acts as the primary liaison between the Fleet Division's customers and maintenance crew, managing the entire work order process from initial request to vehicle return; has strong customer service and organizational skills, along with a basic knowledge of automotive repair. Greets internal or external customers, listens to their descriptions of vehicle problems, answer inquiries, and provides timely updates on repair status. Performs initial vehicle inspections, test drives when applicable, and refers to service history to help clarify issues for the technicians. Repair Orders - Initiates, creates, and finalizes repair orders using a fleet management software system. This includes detailing symptoms, problems, and required services. Ensures availability of needed parts/tools, from inventory stock as required or orders needed. Maintains comprehensive and accurate records of all services performed, parts used, and customer interactions in the fleet management software. Compiles data and prepares various reports, such as fuel usage, shop production, and repair summaries. Maintenance & Construction Craftsworker - Warehouse / Fleet must meet the following minimum qualifications: must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. and at least two (2) years of previous work experience performing similar duties in warehouse or fleet environment or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated proficiency in safely using required tools and operating required equipment. Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted Washington State Driver's License. Must possess or obtain the following within six (6) months: first aid, and other appropriate certifications as required by law, ordinance or department regulations. Classification Summary The City of Kennewick Parks and Recreation Department employs Recreation Attendants who will attend to rentals at various facilities in the City, monitor reserved picnic shelters, and check on programs at fields or parks. Recreation Attendants may work at multiple locations and will provide excellent customer service, enforce policies, and follow set guidelines. A successful candidate will represent the City of Kennewick in a positive and professional manner. Program Attendants will usually be scheduled between 10-70 hours per month based on business needs, typically on evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedules will be provided in advance but will be subject to change. Recreation Attendants must maintain open communication with Parks and Recreation staff at all times.The following list reflects the essential job duties and responsibilities of this classification, but should not be considered all-inclusive. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Welcome all new families and acquaint them with basic school procedures. Assist in supervision and control of students as needed, in order to promote a safe, orderly, positive learning environment. Role model appropriate adult behavior. Receive and log telephone traffic in a positive and friendly manner. Greet and direct all school visitors. Arrange for care of student injuries and illnesses. Administer medication and maintain current medical release forms on file. Maintain files and track accident reports including initiating filling out forms. Chart and maintain records of all medications administered. Maintain student records including timely responses to requests for records. Maintain computerized student attendance records and issue reports to staff. Supervise students in office area when necessary. Perform all duties of the position within the scope of Kennewick School District policies and procedures, including regular attendance and punctuality. Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by principal. Manage student registration and transfers effeciently and accurately.
