Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) – FIRE 215 Advanced First Aid/First Responder Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – FIRE 112 Emergency Medical Technician I, and the refresher courses Fire 120A/B The Emergency Medical Technician Training Course certificate meets the requirements of the California Health and Safety Code for basic EMT-1 training, approved by Marin County Emergency Medical Service Agency. The official EMT-1 Certificate is issued by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. The students have two years from the time of the class completion to apply and test for the National Registry.

Two main stage productions and two productions in our Studio Theatre are offered each year. We also present a student-directed series of Brown Bag Theatre productions and an active improv troupe, which performs throughout the school year.

The Drama Department gives students experience in acting, directing, writing, improvisation, voice technique, stage movement, stage combat, designing, lighting, costumes, makeup, set construction, history and literature.

The Child Development Program Teacher teaches preschool children in a team-teaching environment in the College of Marin Child Development Center, located on the Kentfield campus. The Center is a California State Preschool that provides subsidized and full-cost child care to the children of College of Marin students, faculty and staff. The center is a demonstration preschool that provides practicum training, observation, and research opportunities to COM students who are enrolled in Early Childhood Education, Pediatric Nursing, Child Psychology, Behavioral Science and related fields.
