Location: Lexington Mobiles Description: Seeking Phlebotomist to assist volunteer donors while completing registration, medical screening, and phlebotomy processes. Travel regularly with a team to various sites within Kentucky. Hours & Training Program: Swing Shift (varying hours, and regular Sundays off). Schedule to be assigned after completion of approximately 10 - 12 weeks of training which will occur Monday - Friday but may not be consecutive. Note: There will be times when employees will be required to work on days that are not within their normal schedules due to special events, when shift coverage otherwise dictates, or as a result of business needs. Pay: $20-$22 per hour, based on education and experience (includes differentials). Work Environment: This position is very physical and regularly involves the following: Lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds when loading and unloading or restocking. Carrying equipment up and downstairs. Regularly setting up and breaking down equipment at various locations. Travel by vehicle to/from blood drive sites. Occasional work at donor centers. Standing and walking for long periods of time. Requirements: High school diploma/equivalent. Related training and education a plus. Basic MS Office skills with the ability to effectively navigate web-based applications and systems. Must possess excellent customer service skills, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to easily learn new skills, and follow standard operating procedures. Must work well with others and demonstrate a desire to effectively interact with the public. Have a strong, stable work history. Pre-employment background check, and drug screen are required. Proof of education/certifications required during the interview process. Description: Seeking Phlebotomist to assist volunteer donors while completing registration, medical screening, and phlebotomy processes. Travel regularly with a team to various sites within Kentucky. Hours & Training Program: Swing Shift (varying hours, and regular Sundays off). Schedule to be assigned after completion of approximately 10 - 12 weeks of training which will occur Monday - Friday but may not be consecutive. Note: There will be times when employees will be required to work on days that are not within their normal schedules due to special events, when shift coverage otherwise dictates, or as a result of business needs. Pay: $20-$22 per hour, based on education and experience (includes differentials). Work Environment: This position is very physical and regularly involves the following: Lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds when loading and unloading or restocking. Carrying equipment up and downstairs. Regularly setting up and breaking down equipment at various locations. Travel by vehicle to/from blood drive sites. Occasional work at donor centers. Standing and walking for long periods of time. Requirements: High school diploma/equivalent. Related training and education a plus. Basic MS Office skills with the ability to effectively navigate web-based applications and systems. Must possess excellent customer service skills, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to easily learn new skills, and follow standard operating procedures. Must work well with others and demonstrate a desire to effectively interact with the public. Have a strong, stable work history. Pre-employment background check, and drug screen are required. Proof of education/certifications required during the interview process. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Follows established phlebotomy procedures for obtaining samples from patients. Properly and accurately identify all patients daily according to AHA's phlebotomy patient identification policy prior to facilitating proper collection. Ensures that specimens are properly labeled, in the proper tube, and accompanied by a completed requisition, prior to transport. Follows AHA's phlebotomy policy on transporting PHI. Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy work experience required. Valid state-issued Driver License; must be at least 21 years old. Clean driving record for last 5-years; own reliable transportation, must provide proof of required auto insurance coverage (100/300/100). Clean criminal history, as required for positions with direct patient care; some states require additional background checks including fingerprinting. Phlebotomy Certification from an accredited training school or equivalent, preferred. Home Draws: Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy work experience required; additional credentialing requirements must be successfully completed prior to working on our Home Draw team!
