What You'll Do Join our team as a Warehouse/Lift Truck Operator and play a vital role in ensuring smooth and accurate shipping, receiving, and transport operations. What You'll Do The Sanitation Technician is responsible for janitorial tasks completing the Sanitation Program. They support the Production Supervisor with food grade sanitation needs which include the common, office and production areas. D uties involve cleaning drains, working with production and maintenance teams to ensure equipment is sanitized and meets food processing standards. This position reports to the Sanitation Supervisor. In the absence of the Industrial Sanitation employee, another Industrial Sanitation employee will serve as backup. We offer multiple career paths, training in GMP, HACCP, food safety and food production related subjects. The primary duties include, but are not limited to + Cleaning duties as set out on the master sanitation schedule for floors, drains, walls perimeters in the plant and warehouse meeting company, customer and government standards + Daily cleaning i.e. tanks, pipes and equipment, (some CIP and COP) and filling room floor. + Safe handling and documentation of chemicals used. + Careful use of water so equipment is not damaged + Removal and emptying of production garbage and debris + Manual and/or electrical pallet jacks + Maintain all sanitation documents in accordance with plant quality and safety requirements. While machine operation is the primary focus of this role, you will also contribute to quality, food safety, and sanitation efforts as important facets of the job. Key Responsibilities + + Operate and monitor automated labeling equipment efficiently and safely. + Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following established sanitation guidelines. + Adhere to all quality, food safety, and labeling standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). + Accurately record required production and quality data. + Identify and address equipment or product issues promptly. + Support a safe work environment by following safety protocols and PPE requirements. + Participate in environmental initiatives and workplace safety programs. + Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed. Qualifications and skills + + High School graduate or equivalent required, eighteen (18) years or older + 1 year of Food or chemical manufacturing experience ideal. + 6 months of prior electric pallet jack operation and safety certification preferred. + Ability to maintain a good attendance record and availability for overtime. + Must be self-motivated and conscientious. + Ability to work well with a team or other coworkers. + Mechanical aptitude and analytical skills to solve mechanical problems. + Ability to complete certification requirements + Use of MS products, Excel and SAP software preferred.
