Other responsibilities include the collection, organization, and evaluation of patient information, the management of medication distribution, and providing drug information and education to the patient. The technician must demonstrate ethical conduct and maintain confidentiality of patient information. Technicians may establish and maintain patient profiles, troubleshoot insurance claims, and stock and take inventory of prescription and over-the-counter medications. The pharmacy technician will perform these and any other task necessary to efficiently and lawfully operate the Pharmacy.
