LSI ADL Technology is an Electronics Manufacturing Services company based in Columbus, Ohio producing Circuit Board Assemblies, Box Build and Cable Assemblies in the Industrial OEM and Lighting markets. We services customers in the Columbus, OH region. Our production work ranges from running Surface Mount Technology Lines, Wave Solder Machines, Potting Machines and Wire Processing equipment in addition to Soldering, Manual Assembly, Conformal Coating & Testing of products. We also incorporate an Inventory Control team responsible for Receiving, Shipping & Materials management throughout the facility.
JOB SUMMARY
LSI ADL is looking for energetic and outgoing individual to join our Surface Mount team as a Machine Operator. With this role the employee is responsible for Operate and maintain surface mount and/or auto insertion machines that assemble and solder printed circuit boards
We will provide training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform daily operation of surface mount and/or auto insertion machines for assembly of printed circuit boards using IPC standards and customer documentation to assure quality standards and meet demands
Verify accuracy of documentation per work orders, machine programming, and customer specifications
Pull, count, and verify parts by manufacturer part number necessary for assembly per work order
Setup parts according to program setup sheet, correcting feeder pitch, vibe plate and tray
Utilize X-ray function to verify proper placement and quality of solder joints on BGA/QFN parts
Tear down and restore parts to inventory upon job completion
Create new printer programs and teach device layout paste checks for all fine pitch, BGA and specialty parts
Complete tasks as directed by production schedules with minimum supervision
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment and follow prescribed regulations
Able to work with speed and efficiency while ensuring product quality
Represents LSI Industries in the most positive manner prospective, current, and former employees, clients, suppliers, and the community we serve

Production OperatorThis position is responsible for daily operations of the production floor; ensuring the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements.
Essential Functions
Responsible for daily activities of the production line(s), ensuring product adheres to Niagara's standard of safety, quality, and throughput.
Accurately completes applicable quality and production reports hourly. Physical and visual inspection of product is required to prevent non-conforming goods. Correctly reports all quality defects to the appropriate team members and shift leadership.
Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
Abides by Niagara's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards at all times.
Maintains general housekeeping in all areas of production and additional areas assigned by plant leadership.
Maintains appropriate level of raw materials as required, to ensure production lines incur minimal downtime.
Demonstrates the aptitude and skill to work in all assigned areas of production; troubleshoots minor production line issues and performs relief duties when required.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
Ability to work 12 hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or schedule as dictated by production demand.

Who You Are:

What You Will Be Doing:
As a Polisher (Machine Operator I), you will be responsible for operating a flat polisher/glass edging machine, as well as perform preventative maintenance on the machine.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):
Sets up and operates a single side straight-line glass-edging machine to polish glass or mirror edges.
Starts machine and places glass or mirrors on conveyor of machine.
Fabricates glass to the specification requested by the customer, and verifies program geometric dimension based off work orders received.
Moves glass from machine and wipe edges to remove polishing compound.
Requires the use of an overhead crane to lift and maneuver glass onto the machine.
Follows work instructions by reading labels to expedite the production process; understands and communicates paperwork and labels/picking list.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
Transports materials including glass from one position/location to another in an effort to expedite the production process.
Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications
Strap glass to the carts and or trucks so they are safe for moving
Daily inspections - Look for any unsafe objects, check equipment, etc.

Responsibilities
Set up machines for production runs by loading materials, adjusting settings, and performing test runs to ensure proper functioning.
Operate assigned machinery during production runs, closely monitoring the process to ensure smooth operation and product quality.
Inspect finished products to verify that they meet quality standards and specifications.
Make necessary adjustments to machine settings during production to correct deviations and maintain product quality.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn-out parts, to ensure machines are in optimal condition.
Troubleshoot and address minor issues or malfunctions that may arise during operation.
Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, and other team members to communicate progress, challenges, and potential improvements.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate records of machine operations, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.
Participate in training programs to stay updated on machine operation techniques, safety protocols, and company policies.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a machine operator or in a related manufacturing role is preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operation principles.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
