1977

Intentional, thoughtful, and boutique designed; are the words used to describe KETTLER’s strategy for real estate development since its inception in 1977.

1978

As a pioneer of lightweight bicycle construction, KETTLER Alu-Rad has stood for quality "Made in Germany" since 1978.

1989

When Watkins Mill High School (WMHS) opened in September 1989, most Village high schoolers attended there.

1997

Pamela Tyrrell joined KETTLER in 1997 and is Executive Vice President of the Multifamily Development and Construction division of the company.

2001

Pat has been with KETTLER since 2001, and is fluent in operations of budgeting, financial reporting, corporate finance, tax, audits, treasury/cash management, insurance, internal controls, risk management and financial analysis.

2003

Charlie Kieler joined KETTLER in 2003 and is Executive Vice President of the Community Development division of the company.

2006

Greg Slang joined KETTLER in 2006 and is Executive Vice President of Asset Management for the company.

2010

Luke Davis joined KETTLER in 2010 and serves as Chief Investment Officer for the company.

2014

In January 2014, the company announced plans to start construction on a 275-unit apartment complex just north of Rockville Town Square in Rockville, Maryland.

In March 2014, the company announced plans to develop Element 28, a 101-unit luxury high-rise in Bethesda, Maryland.

In November 2014, the company sold an apartment complex in Mount Vernon Triangle for $106.5 million.

2015

In November 2015, the company submitted plans for its Market Terminal project, which features two residential buildings and an office building near Union Market.

2016

In April 2016, in partnership with Westbrook Partners, the company acquired the 257-unit The Flats at Atlas.

Today, Montgomery Village has more than 40,000 residents and celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2016.

2017

In January 2017, the company re-submitted plans for the development.

In February 2017, a joint venture between the company and Federal Capital Partners sold a 404-unit apartment complex in Leesburg, Virginia to PNC Bank for $55.25 million.
