    The Batcher is responsible for completing diversified duties, ensuring feed is processed to meet our company, and customers' high expectations. The batcher is required to process feed efficiently and safely, while meeting exceptional quality standards. The position responsibilities include plant start up's and shutdowns, working with all processes involved in feed production, housekeeping, internal and external customer service, load monitoring, general maintenance and facility upkeep, all while casting the vision of Mercer Landmark's mission, goals and values. Responsibilities: Daily start up and/or shutdown of the plant. Batch feed in a safe, efficient, and quality manner, while following operational procedures. Ensure facility housekeeping standards are met. Clearly and effectively communicate with coworkers, managers, and all other Mercer Landmark personnel. Perform general and preventative maintenance duties when assigned. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory control duties. Work weekends and/or other overtime hours, to meet customer and company needs. Duties: Start-up, shut down and test equipment daily, for operational use. Complete ingredient bin inventory measurements before batching and at shift change. Run daily inventory reports. Zero out usages and receipts when required. Monitor corn bin inventory and ensure corn bins are full. Prep and process hand-adds as needed. Fill micro bins as needed. Ensure all scales are zeroed before and during batching feed. Analyze the load list and batch feed orders accordingly. Complete assigned housekeeping duties. Attend the shift meetings and communicate pertinent information. Complete assigned preventative maintenance and project duties. Cross train and work in other positions as needed. Train other employees when needed. Complete a daily shift report and send to required personnel. Assist with weekly and End of Month inventory counting. Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
