Routinely identifies equipment, component and safety concerns and recommend to leadership how to properly safeguard against machine/equipment breakdowns and safety hazards. Assist Maintenance Manager/Maintenance Lead to train and provide guidance to apprentice and maintenance technicians. Perform skilled journey-level work in the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment, apparatus and fixtures used at manufacturing plants. * Strong background in construction with hands on experience in commercial or industrial environments * Solid understanding in electrical theory * Experienced in running conduit EMT, PVC with proper bending routing and installation * Skilled in pulling, terminating, and labeling wire for distribution * Self-directed with strong decision-making skills ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (But not limited to): * Inspect, maintain repair and overhaul electromechanical and solid state electrical equipment, using a variety of electrical test equipment, meters, powered and non-powered tools and equipment. * Install new electrical and electronic equipment and electrical wiring according to the National Electrical Code and company electrical standards. * Maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems for Project facilities and equipment. * Perform high voltage switching and operate generators in support of operations. * Work safely and cooperatively with co-workers and the public. * Lead a work party in performing maintenance or repair work. * Other related incidental work as needed. * Comply with and practice proper equipment clearance procedures. * Perform all work in compliance with NEC, ANSI and OSHA applicable codes, standards, safety and environment regulations. * Responsible for station lockout/tagout procedures as mandated by company policy. * Determine materials needs/order materials for new equipment or equipment relocation installation. Perform all electrical installation of materials as specified in equipment installation manuals. * Participate in Kaizen, Reliability Program and PM activities. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No direct supervisory responsibilities but will be directed to monitor, assist and/or train apprentice, maintenance technicians, and ensure that contractors and vendors are complying with company policies and regulations. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associates degree in Electronic\or Electrical related field of study and 2 years of experience within a manufacturing facility or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Quality experience demonstrating mechanical/electrical technical ability and problems solving skills. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems required. Must comprehend and ensure compliance of NEC code, OSHA, and EPA regulations. Proficient capability to utilize commonly required maintenance tools and equipment including hand tools. An ability and willingness to take action based on standard practices as well as learn new technologies and attend courses as required by Maintenance Manager. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence via email or cell phone. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, metric and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
