The Medication Aide administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents who need assistance in accordance with state regulatory stipulations and requirements for safe administration. What the Whey Operator role is about:
This position is a vital part to our whey operations at our plant.
Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotations on NIGHTS: 6 PM - 6 AM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform accurate hourly checks on assigned equipment and make any necessary adjustments to keep product with customer and organization specifications.
Machines Include: HTST, Ultrafiltration, Microfiltration, Nanofiltration, Reverse Osmosis, Spray Dryers, Separators, Heat Exchangers, and Packaging.
Checks include: flow rates, temperatures, system pressures, pH, percent solids, and protein percentage.
Shutdown, clean, and start up assigned machines on a daily basis or when required.
Set up line circuits, silos, and tanks to be CIPed and setup backup for production as required
Load and unload outgoing and incoming trailers.
Types of trailers include: Dry cargo, bulk powder, and liquid tanks.
Check incoming loads of whey, WPC, and permeate to verify conformity to organization requirements.
Complete needed quality checks for Water Quality, Chemical Concentration, and Foot Formers.
Complete tasks as required in the Master Sanitation Schedule.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be able to efficiently read, write and speak English
Experience Required:
No experience required; in-house training provided.
Experience in a dairy or manufacturing environment an asset.

Ability to read, understand, and adhere to documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, SDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP).

About the Opportunity
The Medication Aide administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents who need assistance in accordance with state regulatory stipulations and requirements for safe administration. Observes the resident taking the medication, notes effects including any unexpected or adverse effects, correctly documents the required information in the residents' medication administration records, communicates any concerns or observations with the Wellness Director, Wellness Coordinator, or designated personnel. The Medication Aide also supports residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health.
