Primary duties and responsibilities: * Install, configure, and harden IT systems (Windows and Linux) in accordance with STIGs, NIST 800-53, and RMF security/compliance standards. * Deploy and manage security tools such as Nessus, Splunk, and ACAS to support vulnerability management, continuous monitoring, and compliance reporting. * Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation, validating results through STIG Viewer, SCAP scans, and other compliance tools. * Perform lifecycle and configuration management, including secure builds, deployments, and patching. * Monitor and maintain system performance and security, ensuring continuous Authorization to Operate (ATO). * Collaborate with Information Security teams to assess, analyze, and respond to findings; support audits and inspections as required. * Develop and maintain documentation, including SOPs, process guides, and IT policies.
