This position is responsible for ensuring individuals' rights and quality behavioral support in accordance with the principles of self-determination, Positive Behavior Support, Applied Behavior Analysis, recovery and resiliency and CSG policies. The Behavioral Services Specialist reports directly to the Director of Clinical Services or designee. Wage Information: $48,000 per year Job Description: Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) including indirect methods (interviews, record review) and direct methods (observations, ABC data collection), to determine the function of challenging behaviors. Monitors individuals' progress through on-site visits, data collection, and periodic assessments to ensure appropriate and adequate programs. Develop individualized, data-driven Behavior Support Plans (BSP) based on FBA findings, incorporating positive, proactive, trauma informed,and least restrictive strategies and using a whole person biopsychosocial approach. Design and recommend environmental modifications, antecedent strategies, and replacement skill training. Participates in the development of individual service or treatment plans to determine long and short term goals. The Work: Provide oversight, monitoring and supervision of the entire treatment process Assess and develop Individual Support Plans (ISP's), monthly and quarterly reports, goal planning and other associated duties Support the individual's team around issues, such as, but not limited to: behavioral incidents, psychiatric hospitalizations, coaching through difficult situations and skill training Proactively intervene to prevent, manage, and de-escalate critical situations Collaborate with team to develop plans to assist individuals to utilize generic resources and increase their opportunities to develop friendships, maintain and strengthen family relationships, increase their participation in desired community activities and find meaningful employment Assist with transporting individuals for medical appointments, employment, school or other appointments as needed Assist in recruitment, screening, and interviewing of potential providers Provide training, counseling, systems advocacy, friendship and values clarification to providers Routinely review all documentation relative to each individual's plans for accuracy, objectivity, respect, timeliness, and adherence to regulations and prepare program reports and statistical data Participate on an on call rotation Adhere to all to all licensing, federal, state and local regulations, health and safety requirements, and Keystone policies, procedures, vision, mission and values The Perks: Knowing you make a difference everyday Full time, day shift $21.50 per hour Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401K and more Generous paid time off program Extensive training and learning opportunities Career development and advancement Minimum Educational Requirements: (One of the following) High School diploma or equivalent and six years of experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities Associate's degree or 60+ credit hours from an accredited college or university and four years of experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities Bachelor's degree and two years of experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities Master's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities Additional Minimum Requirements: Basic computer skills with the ability to utilize internal software programs Effective communication skills, both verbal and written At least 18 years of age Valid Driver's License with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including motor vehicle record and criminal background checks Keystone Human Services prohibits discrimination against qualified individuals based on their status as protected veterans or individuals with disabilities and prohibits discrimination against all individuals based on any category protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
