Keystone was formed in the great state of Texas in 1992 as Stewart Builders, Inc. d.b.a Keystone Concrete Placement.
With the housing market recession in the United States in the late 2000's, a lot of building supply companies found themselves going out of business.
On the retirement of R.W. Bowen in 2003, Middlemass took over as Managing Director along with the existing shareholders.
In 2005, Stewart Lumber Company changed its name to Stewart Builder Supply to better focus on our expanded inventory and services provided to the community other than just being recognized as a lumber yard.
Joined the company in November 2006 as a Junior Quantity Surveyor and worked his way to his current position.
The Grandsons – Joshua Edward Stewart and James Nathan Stewart In 2007 Jim’s two sons, Joshua and Nathan, began working full time.
Joined the company in 2012.
Stewart would continue to come by the office almost daily to sit and chat with his two grandson’s Joshua and Nathan up until the day he passed away in 2014.
