Requirements
1. Be a self-starter with patience and the ability to make good judgment calls; must demonstrate qualities of self-motivation, creativity, reliability, and dependability.
2. Must have and maintain a satisfactory criminal background in accordance with state and federal requirements.
3. Have the ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 30 pounds.
4. Maintain certification in CPR and First Aid training or be willing to become certified once hired.
5. Must have a High School Diploma or GED

Job Description
·Implement teamwork with co-teacher in executing activities and classroom tasks in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice, and program philosophy.
· Implement curriculum created by Kids 'R' Kids in the classroom.
· Meet the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of each child.
· Maintain daily open communication with parents and confidentiality
· Arrange a classroom environment in accordance with program goals and philosophy and maintain a safe and healthy environment
· Keep all appropriate daily records to satisfy Kids ‘R' Kids, state, health, and federal requirements.
· Know rules and regulations for state minimum standards and operate your classroom in accordance with these standards.
· Adhere to Texas Rising Star Standards to maintain accreditation.
· Report progress of children to parents through parent-teacher conferences and/or assessments.

Role Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
Responsible for the overall classroom management, leading a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
Serve as a role model, using a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning
Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum , working with Infants, Toddlers, and/or Preschool children in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children's latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
Support your center's success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement.
Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
Qualifications:
1 year of professional teaching experience preferred. At least six months of professional teaching experience required.
Associate degree or higher in ECE or related degree preferred. High school diploma/GED required.
Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
CPR and First Aide certification preferred
Must meet state specific guidelines for the role
Compensation: $11-13/hr
