    Kidwell is seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the role of Mission Critical (Data Center) Apprentice Electrician for the Lincoln and Omaha Markets and open to traveling nationally if needed. This position is open to both experienced apprentices and those new to the trade. For entry-level apprentices, we have a formal training program designed to help teach apprentices the trade. For experienced apprentices, we have a dedicated Development Coordinator to ensure your skills are being developed as you prepare for your Journeyman's Exam. These individuals must be team-oriented and possess the qualities of positivity, honesty, and attention to detail. Candidates also need great organizational skills and must be quality communicators. We want everyone to have a first-rate experience when partnering with Kidwell, and Apprentice Electricians will directly represent Kidwell on job sites and in front of our customers and trade partners. What You'll Do * Assist Journeyman Electricians with installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment * Earn competitive wages and overtime and must be able to work multiple Saturdays and possibly Sundays. * Preform daily responsibilities that include * Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit * Drill holes for wiring and pulls * Trace out short circuits in wiring * Gather tools and supplies to be used at work site * Install fixtures * Assist our cabling and special systems teams when needed to install, configure and troubleshoot low voltage electronic systems including: nurse call, CCTV, access control, sound systems and audio-visual systems. * Create and maintain a safe work environment, meeting or exceeding OSHA regulations and project safety requirements * Opportunities to take on a variety of other tasks based on skill set and interests Requirements * Candidates must possess a current State of Nebraska Electrical License. If not currently licensed, candidates must apply before starting. * Associate's degree in electrical technology (or similar field) preferred but not required * Field experience as commercial electrical apprentice preferred but not required * Experienced in Mission Critical (Data Center) work or commercial industrial electrical work preferred but not required * Candidates must have good leadership and people skills * Ability to pass physical exam, drug screening, and background check (One Source 2+ or equivalent level). * Must maintain a valid driver's license * Work may be local (Lincoln/Omaha area) or nationwide to be determined working on mission critical facilities. The Prefabrication Apprentice II is responsible for supporting the company's prefabrication and kitting initiatives through the creation of assemblies and kits. All work will be performed in the Kidwell Prefabrication Shop (Lincoln) in a temperature-controlled environment. The Prefabrication Apprentice must be team-oriented, have great organizational skills with attention to detail, be honest, positive and possess quality communication skills. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: * Production of prefabricated assemblies and kits including: * Measuring, cutting and bending of wire and conduit. * Assembling boxes and spooling wire and cable. * Making terminations and joints. * Organization of kits including: * Applying labels to wire bundles or assemblies. * Labeling box assemblies. * Packing boxes with assemblies and plans. * Organizing kits for pickup. * Operation and maintenance of shop equipment including: * Table benders, offset benders, Threaders, drill press, Band saw, chop saw * Operation of fork lift. Delivery of kits to job sites using Kidwell box truck. * Providing prefabrication and kitting to support all Kidwell areas of proficiency including electrical, fire alarm, data cabling, audio visual, access control, security, cameras, nurse call. * Maintaining a clean, organized workspace and production area. * Assisting with material intake and organization. * Collaborating with Staff to clarify or strengthen documentation. * Adherence to all Kidwell standards for quality and safety. * Participation in weekly team meetings and safety trainings. * Other duties as assigned. Job Experience and Requirements: * Candidate must have great organizational skills with attention to detail, be a team player who is honest, positive, and communicates well with others. * A physical exam and drug screening must be passed. * Candidate must be able to pass a physical exam, drug screening, and background check. * Field experience as a commercial electrical apprentice or in manufacturing is preferred but not required. The Licensed Foreman I is responsible for supervising electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within the commercial and industrial settings. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent work experience (8,000 hours) Travel: 60-75% Work Schedule: Between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES All previous classification requirements must be continually satisfied. Maintains current licensing and training requirements. Demonstrates ability to run medium-size projects (5-10 electricians) effectively. Establish expectations and motivates crews to consistently meet or beat goals. Consistently completes projects on time, within budget, and in a safe manner. Demonstrates ability to complete basic paperwork (i.e., foreman logs, performance evaluations, purchase order logs, time cards, etc.) in a timely manner. Effectively manages resources (tools, equipment, staffing) within crew. Reads and understands estimates, with the assistance of project management or superintendent, as a part of the installation and layout of a project. Consistently provides feedback and coaching to crew members including utilizing the Field Evaluation form/process. Takes the initiative to run a thorough ORM. Is conscious of safe and unsafe acts on the jobsite and addresses and eliminates hazards accordingly. Consistently enforces and promotes workplace safety procedures (weekly toolbox talks, weekly safety audits, appropriate documentation, etc.) Actively mentors and develops others within projects and crews. Supports usage of Faith internal resources to include, but not limited to Excellerate, Precon, APC, Productivity, Engineering, Estimating, etc. Maintains compliance with company policies; consults with HR and/or Workforce Managers (PM if appropriate) to ensure consistent corrective measures are taken, and documentation completed. Demonstrates excellent customer relations through utilization of effective problem-solving techniques. Actively participates in Faith's hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. If not currently licensed, candidates must apply before starting. * Associate's degree in electrical technology (or similar field) preferred but not required * Field experience as commercial electrical apprentice preferred but not required * Experienced in Mission Critical (Data Center) work or commercial industrial electrical work preferred but not required * Candidates must have good leadership and people skills * Ability to pass physical exam, drug screening, and background check (One Source 2+ or equivalent level). * Must maintain a valid driver's license * Work may be local (Lincoln/Omaha area) or nationwide to be determined working on mission critical facilities.
