Operates dirt moving equipment including but limited to dozers, track hoes, backhoes, and front end loaders. Typically requires a minimum of 48 months of industrial construction experience.

1. Reads and understand blueprints. Understanding of elevations given, understanding bundle tags. 2. Aid in rigging operations, connections and disconnections. 3. Assembles and fits to drawing dimensions of all kinds of structural, plate and mechanical materials into all types of assemblies. Experience Level Skilled * Read blueprints, section and plan drawings, and weld symbols to derive measurements, dimensions, and quantity of material needed to fabricate a structure. * Unload, sort, and stack heavy steel pieces, then hoist each one into the proper place for fastening. * Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel products such as beams, braces, pipes, and plates for jackets and decks * Lay out and fit pipe, beams, decks and jackets; frame skids, bends, and elevations for jackets; cut plate, pipe, and beams using a cutting torch. * Use Come-a-longs, chain falls, and other industry tools and equipment, and install, use, and remove stop plates, dogs, and pad eyes * Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity. * Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.
