Cherne Contracting is one of Kiewit's oldest districts. Founded in 1916. **Location**
This role will require relocation or travel to project sites, for the duration of the project, around the country. Relocation and/or per diem is provided while on the project.
**Responsibilities**
+ Provide system quality control support by conducting inspections and testing on electrical components.

**Qualifications**
+ Self-starter with exceptional organization and interpersonal skills
+ At least 8 years in Quality and field inspection, quality auditing, and surveillance for construction. Working knowledge of the specific trade of discipline as assigned, with associated special processes, inspection and testing techniques
+ Working knowledge of construction industry codes relating to area of expertise (i.e. ACI, AWS, ASME, NEC, etc.)
+ Associate degree in engineering technology, construction or quality preferred plus 8 years years' experience in a related construction field or a high school graduate or equivalent (GED) plus 10 years' experience in a related construction field
+ Knowledge of quality control procedures, tracking and reporting, material/equipment quality review and experience reviewing completed work packages to ensure drawings/specifications and client requirements are met.
+ Experience with industrial construction preferred.

**Responsibilities**
- Evaluate, select and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to site development projects
- Develop design documents including analysis, calculations, research, selection, and layout
- Assist in the design of mechanical piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) for power plant systems including steam cycle systems, boiler feed and condensate, water treatment, fuel handling, hydraulic, heat transfer systems, conveying systems, and air and gas systems
- Prepare design calculations and specifications for major power plant related equipment including, but not limited to, combustion turbines, steam turbines, boilers, condensers, cooling towers, and pumps
- Prepare mechanical engineering designs, including layout, design sketches, and conceptual design
- Check design deliverables in accordance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements and company standards
- Effectively analyze, calculate, research, select, and layout the necessary design and construction documentation

**Qualifications**
- At least 6 years' experience in mechanical engineering and design. Experience in the power industry, electrical utilities or industrial markets, would be advantages, but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering program from an ABET accredited four-year college or university program. Some masters' coursework preferred
- PE license preferred.

**The Opportunity**
Manager/Specialist position assigned to either a role in Project Controls Management, Department Leadership, Cost Specialist or Planning Specialist. This position has supervisory/lead responsibility over a group of project controls personnel or functions as a technical specialist who develops advanced concepts.

**PJC Management:**
+ Leads and develops PJC team on the most complex and highest risk projects in all aspects of Project Controls.

+ Addresses contractual requirements related to cost/schedule including reviewing contract language and providing feedback.

**Preferred Qualifications**
Prefer Master's degree or local equivalent in Engineering or Construction Management. Experience serving in a Leadership role for a medium- to large-sized EPC project in both Home Office and Field preferred. Prefer certificate from either PMI or AACE
**Minimum Qualifications**
Four-year Bachelor's degree with ten or more years of relevant Cost Control of Planning & Scheduling experience OR no four-year Bachelor's degree required with twelve years or more of relevant Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling experience in Home Office or Field Office.

to be based in our
Novi, Michigan
office. This position will support our Remediation team within our Environment business line.
The Environmental Scientist will primarily support analytical needs for an onsite industrial wastewater treatment facility. AECOM is searching for candidates that can be a role model of professionalism, be client-focused, be impactful and decisive, and have a strong safety culture. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conducting environmental field work, including collecting soil, groundwater, and remediation system data, groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging and oversight of subcontractors.
Operations and maintenance of surface water treatment system.
Manage the outsourcing of analytical samples collected by sampling technicians for environmental compliance.
Evaluation of analytical data for quality control, quality assurance.
Application and maintenance of data management software (i.e. LIMs) and maintenance of electronic tools that support functionality of the data management software.
Collect and enter data and apply technical principles and theories to assist in interpreting and analyzing data.
Record, analyze, and report data in a timely manner.
Review analytical reports from contract laboratories.
Build relationships with contract laboratory contacts to communicate expectations for routine and non-routine analysis.
Follow proper archiving and document retention and management procedures.
Work as an engaged team member through weekly collaboration and group meetings to understand analytical and resource needs and challenges.

Location
This position is based in Detroit, MI and will begin as a remote role, transitioning to a hybrid/in-office arrangement once the new office is established.
Responsibilities
* Evaluate, select and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to site development projects
* Develop design documents including analysis, calculations, research, selection, and layout
* Assist in the design of mechanical piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) for power plant systems including steam cycle systems, boiler feed and condensate, water treatment, fuel handling, hydraulic, heat transfer systems, conveying systems, and air and gas systems
* Prepare design calculations and specifications for major power plant related equipment including, but not limited to, combustion turbines, steam turbines, boilers, condensers, cooling towers, and pumps
* Prepare mechanical engineering designs, including layout, design sketches, and conceptual design
* Check design deliverables in accordance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements and company standards
* Effectively analyze, calculate, research, select, and layout the necessary design and construction documentation
* Assist in the development of schedules, work assignments, and staffing requirements to ensure successful project completion
* Coordinate with other drafters, designers, and engineers assigned to the project or a task and review work progress and results
* Prepare specifications for major market related equipment
Qualifications
* At least 6 years' experience in mechanical engineering and design. Experience in the power industry, electrical utilities or industrial markets, would be advantages, but not required.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering program from an ABET accredited four-year college or university program. Some masters' coursework preferred
* PE license preferred.
