**District Overview**
Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force. Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant and solar farm projects throughout North America.

**Responsibilities**
- With regard to that portion of the work assigned, develop complete understanding of contract plans and specifications.
- Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.
- Inspect subordinates' work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.
- Develop and maintain the project master schedule using appropriate techniques and scheduling software with input from other project management personnel.
- Manage document control; receive and log in new issue drawings and other contract documents; maintain document control log.
- Review new issue drawings and contract documents for change of conditions; quantify impact of changes and review with supervisor; distribute new issues to field.
- Prepare monthly cost projections using information generated from project management systems and prepare quarterly cash flow projections.
- Improve project operations by recommending, as appropriate, better methods, staffing and procedural changes.
- Act as managing project engineer/coordinator on multiple projects, providing supervision and on-the-job training for lower-level engineers.
- Read and understand plans and specifications. Visualize two-dimensional drawings in three dimensions.
- Manage and support project team including direct reports and others as needed
- Help drive the company environmental health and safety programs at the project level, driving a safety-oriented approach to work.

Responsibilities
* Provide technical and engineering design for industrial water and wastewater facility design including treatment process evaluation, process selection, and optimization and conduct evaluations of full-scale plant operations, pilot studies and bench studies as required. Identify and evaluate process lifecycle costs.
* Oversee and participate in the preparation of engineering reports, engineering drawings and specifications for complex water/wastewater projects such as PFD's, P&ID's, process simulations, datasheets, and engineering calculations including hydraulics and equipment sizing.
* Perform process systems and hydraulics modeling and scenario studies.

* Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred or in pursuit of PE within 1-2 years.

* Must be willing and available to accommodate intermittent travel (20-30% maximum expected)

The Opportunity
As the Solar Production Estimate Subject Matter Expert, you will have the opportunity to contribute to technical due diligence engagements for multiple types of assets, including solar and battery energy storage renewable energy projects on behalf of lenders and investors; serving in a supporting role to a multi-disciplinary team of Independent Engineering and Technical Due Diligence consultants.
This is a key role on a team of engineers, consultants, and financial analysts, with the expectation to provide subject matter expertise in solar production estimating methodology. **Job Description**
**AECOM** has an opening for an entry level **Geologist** in our **Kansas City, MO** office to assist with a variety of projects including data management, site investigations and remediation.
_This position is expected to begin in February 2026._
The successful candidate will assist with gathering and analyzing geological, hydrogeological and geochemical data in both the field and office settings. The field activities will consist of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air and soil vapor sample collection, geological logging and interpretation, and the oversight of subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies. The office activities will involve preparation of investigation reports.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Conducting environmental field work, including collecting soil, surface water, groundwater, and remediation system data; soil logging; and fluid level gauging.
+ Oversight of contractors conducting field surveys, drilling, well installation, development operations, and utility clearance for intrusive operations.
+ Participation in a health and safety team performing inspections, observations, and training.
+ Field document preparation, field data collection, processing, and interpretation.
+ Supporting office tasks, including data entry, data analysis, report preparation, and maintenance of a records archive system.
+ Collect and record data and compare results to relevant studies and state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
+ Travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays.
Candidate must also be able to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors. Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative. Field work will be required including oversight of subcontractors.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ Valid U.S. Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
+ As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review and a substance abuse test.
+ Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Basic understanding of environmental regulations such as ASTM-1527-21, AAI, RCRA, TSCA, and SARA.
+ Ability to understand and supervise advancement of soil borings and installation of monitoring wells.
+ Ability to demonstrate a primary technical role in multiple site characterization, subsurface investigation, and remediation projects at various client sites.
+ Understand and assist with site conceptual models.
+ Collect and evaluate environmental data in field and office settings.
+ Prepare investigation reports and drawings.
+ Possesses technical report writing skills.
+ Independent field work and leadership of field teams.
+ Contractor oversight.
+ Selected candidate will be required to complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training or annual refresher class, if needed.
+ Selected Candidate will also receive First Aid/CPR training and AECOM specific training.
+ Learn and develop a keen understanding of hazard recognition, and environmental investigation or remediation.
+ Candidate must be proficient with basic computer programs; MS Word and MS Excel.

+ This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes office work in **Kansas City, MO** . The selected candidate must be available to work in **Kansas City, MO** on a scheduled basis.
+ 50-90% field work is required.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $52000 to $70000.

**District Overview**
The Kiewit Water Engineering team, which includes process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and control, structural, and civil disciplines, is a multi-faceted division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on collaborative Design-Build (progressive and/or fixed price) and EPC delivery models for complex water projects. The team brings project solutions to life across North America in the following areas:

**Location**
This role will be based out of our Lenexa, Kansas office. or our Lone Tree Colorado office. We offer excellent relocation. Some consideration may be made for candidates with more senior level experience directly in Wastewater or water treatment design, that works near one of our other Kiewit Hub Locations (Fortworth, Houston, Chicago).
**Responsibilities**
+ Provide technical and engineering design for industrial water and wastewater facility design including treatment process evaluation, process selection, and optimization and conduct evaluations of full-scale plant operations, pilot studies and bench studies as required. Identify and evaluate process lifecycle costs.
+ Oversee and participate in the preparation of engineering reports, engineering drawings and specifications for complex water/wastewater projects such as PFD's, P&ID's, process simulations, datasheets, and engineering calculations including hydraulics and equipment sizing.
+ Perform process systems and hydraulics modeling and scenario studies.
+ Provide front line issue resolution of technical issues associated with design, construction, equipment and/or operations.
+ Work within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers within a budget and schedule to execute design and engineering on projects.
+ Interface with clients and partner engineers to support project and business development needs. Work directly with clients and partners on projects and tasks to develop long-term relationships. Attend client development activities and functions.
+ Provide engineering consultation in specialized areas related to treatment plant planning and design.
+ Communicate/present industry trends, competitive situations or technology/regulatory issues.
+ Support business development efforts and help in the pursuit of new projects. Contribute to the development of client proposals and project cost estimates.
+ Actively participate in professional organizations. Prepare and make presentations to clients and professional organizations.
+ Serve as a representative of Kiewit at meetings, presentations and public hearings/meetings relative to assigned projects.
+ Participate in improving company resources and tools to improve design production and efficiency.
+ As a more Senior Engineer: May lead/mentor entry and mid-level engineers for skill development. Review their progress and results. Provide direction and coaching, as needed.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering
+ Minimum of 5 years' experience in process development, conceptual and detailed design with a background in water/wastewater markets., performing functions as outlined above, or similar processing facilities, or as an Application Engineer for a water equipment vendor performing design for clients in the water/wastewater treatment industry.
+ Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred or in pursuit of PE within 1-2 years.
+ Understanding of federal, state and local regulations and requirements related to water characterization, treatment and discharge
+ Experience as process design engineering lead on design-build or EPC projects is preferred
+ Must be willing and available to accommodate intermittent travel (20-30% maximum expected)
+ Preferred experience utilizing AFT Fathom or AFT Arrow hydraulic simulation software (or equivalent) and/or experience with process modeling and simulation software applications such as Biowin, GPS-X, Hysys and/or Aspen, WatPro, AqMB, SIMBA etc.
