**Location**
This position will be based in the Kiewit Building Group office in Federal Way, WA. Some travel will be required for pursuits in other geographical regions and offices.
**Responsibilities**
- Leading a team of estimators and engineers in pursuits to get the work at the right price.
- Task management, strategies, resource leveling, and estimate close out processes.
- Communicating and presenting detailed estimates to executive management and clients.
- Analyzing drawings and specifications to understand the scope of the work.
- Reviewing and assisting with proposals and other documentation to prepare cost estimates.
- Become proficient in Kiewit's estimating program, "InEight Estimate".

Project Overview:
Bechtel is the licensing, engineering, procurement, and construction partner on TerraPower's Natrium team. Selected by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for its Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program, Natrium is participating in a DOE initiative to re-establish U.S. leadership in nuclear energy that provides matching funding to industry to design and build an operational advanced reactor. TerraPower, a leading advanced generation technology company founded by former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates, will be deploying its 345 MWe sodium fast reactor (SFR), called Natrium. The Natrium plant features an advanced, cost-competitive reactor design that is safer, simpler, easier and less costly to construct, less expensive to operate, and able to provide energy that is competitive with fossil fuels. It also features an innovative molten salt energy storage system designed to be complementary to solar and wind power by evening out the peaks and valleys in production when the sun is not shining or the wind is not blowing. With the reactor and energy storage output combined, the plant can produce more than 500 MWe of power.
Other Team Natrium partners include GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy, Energy Northwest, PacifiCorp, and Duke Energy, along with support from a number of national laboratories and universities. This DOE Program has the potential to be the largest funding program for advanced nuclear power in U.S. history and will shape the future of nuclear energy for decades.

Job Summary:
The Interface Manager, with a focus on Electrical and Control Systems reports to the Project Engineering Manager (PEM) and will be the lead interface between Bechtel and Terra Power, working closely with the customer on Natrium design and requirements. The selected candidate will be the primary source of professional oversight of project delivery of the client's design requirements, when it comes to Electrical and Control Systems.

Major Responsibilities:
* Ensuring the handoff's between Terra Power system design and the Bechtel physical design are received per the schedule; and contain all of the required inputs.
* Ensuring that the Terra Power vendor design submittals are reviewed by the appropriate Bechtel engineering discipline.
* Keeping apprised of Terra Power design changes and impacts to Bechtel design scope
* Coordinating Bechtel design responses back to Terra Power and ensuring Bechtel has appropriate understanding of task and requirements prior to start of a particular scope of work
* Assists the Terra Power Engineer leadership team to understand the Bechtel design processes and interface needs to support the design schedule and the execution and hand off of that design to construction.
* Manage work process execution and assure technical adequacy in accordance with company, client, contract and industry codes and standards
* Resolve and respond to the client, regulator, or field-initiated questions on engineering during the appropriate execution phase
* Communicate complex technical issues and recommend solutions to Terra Power, project engineering management, and functional management as directed and as appropriate.
Education and Experience Requirements:
* BS or advanced degree in a recognized Engineering discipline (preferably related to traditional Electrical Engineering, or Control Systems and PLC) from an accredited university or college with at least 10-13 years of progressive related experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Basic Qualifications:

* Possess active security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance
Minimum Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience working in a nuclear plant or DOE nuclear facility.

* Working knowledge of engineering procedures, covering discipline deliverables, production, and control, as well as organization and responsibilities for the Engineering Department.
* Familiarity with other Bechtel functions such as Procurement, Construction , ES&H,including key processes

* Detailed knowledge of the interfaces between the various Bechtel engineering disciplines; understanding the handoff's that are required between each to progress design; and imparting/assisting the Terrapower team in understanding that relationship.

**District Overview**
Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering's Design-Build team is driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects. Through our integrated design and construction approach, our multi-disciplinary team works together to improve schedule, control costs and minimize risk. Our construction-focused engineers work collaboratively with our estimators and builders to design solutions that are innovative, constructible, and designed with a focus on safety. **Location**
This position could be based out of our Bellevue, WA OR Lone Tree, CO Offices.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead and perform engineering design tasks and coordinate with CADD teams in developing plans, specifications, and estimates for preliminary and final design of standard bridges, walls, and minor structures (Culverts, Inlet structures, etc.) for current projects, including Design/Build as well as new pursuits
- Identify and understand technical requirements of design projects and implement engineering principles to develop solutions
- Identify, interpret, and apply appropriate design standards and codes; ensure compliance with contract documents
- Participate in technical meetings and discussions; strategize solutions to complex or unique technical problems
- Identify technical differentiators and develop schemes for key project pursuits
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree or greater in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (Masters Preferred)
+ 5+ years' experience in relevant structural/bridge engineering design
+ PE license is required for this position
+ Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles
+ Experience with the design of multiple bridge types in concrete and steel, wall systems, and minor structures
+ Experience with Design-Build or other alternative delivery methods, **preferred** as well as the interest to work on Design/Build projects.
+ Experience with engineering design software, (i.e. programs such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, PGSuper, Microstation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, InRoads, Openroads designer (ORD))
+ Experience with AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codes is required.
+ Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Job Summary:

You will play a critical role in partnering with our Wood Products business on initiatives, by executing the best procurement strategies for electricity. You are a leader who can influence teams and other stakeholders to maximize procurement performance.
In this role, your primary responsibility will be to identify, plan, develop, andexecute electricity, natural gas and propane strategies aligned to WNR's Procurement Roadmap as well as business and mill requirements. To be successful in this role, you will partner with other Energy Managers and build relationships with key stakeholders and communicate and partner with all levels of the organization. You will need to be involved in and understand our current energy demand and supply practices, and our overall procurement strategy and roadmap. You will need to be in front of emerging energy regulations and energy market trends, as well as changes in our industry that impact our operational costs and risks.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and execute Energy Management Strategy for electricity
Execution strategy related to negotiation and award
Partner with site leaders to develop and implement agreements' energy strategy
Work with business leadership to develop broader long-term energy strategies
Negotiate and manage energy contracts (electricity, natural gas, alternative fuels [i.e., biofuels], and propane if required) and related services for multiple manufacturing (~34 mills) and non-manufacturing sites across the U.S. and Canada
Conduct RFP manually or through 3rd party sourcing platforms, and evaluate proposals
Negotiate and award energy contracts, working with the law department
Obtain proper approval on agreements according to delegation of authority
Upload and maintain all contracts and related documents in central contract management repository
Communicate terms of agreements to appropriate leaders and stakeholders
Monitor market conditions for buying opportunities and periodically solicit indicative bids for the purpose of price discovery
Assist in onboarding new leaders by reviewing existing agreements and strategies with them
Monitor and audit energy invoice data against contract terms and prices to ensure we are paying the correct contract prices on the correct quantities.
Risk Management
Review existing energy strategy and agreements to identify risk areas
Research and analyze energy markets to identify opportunities to reduce cost and risk
Promptly evaluate material cost impacts of market price excursions, and new legislation and regulation, communicate and escalate notifications of material cost impacts, and seek approval before proceeding with remedies and/or mitigating measures
Assist in planning for and developing action plans to deal with energy upset conditions (weather, restrictions, prices)
Manage contracts to prevent downtime due to lack of access to the required energy, and to ensure sites continue to operate.
Research and analyze federal and state energy legislation and regulations to identify new or potential compliance risks
Regulatory Compliance
Serve as the Regulatory Compliance Manager
Manage Weyerhaeuser's compliance program with analysis of activities and guidelines to ensure compliance with policy, ethics, laws and regulations
Work with Weyerhaeuser compliance leaders, law department, and 3rd party resources to ensure compliance with all laws and standards involved in the purchase, sale, distribution, and transmission of electricity or natural gas associated with Weyerhaeuser's sites

Qualifications:

5+ years managing multimillion dollars (min $50Million) energy spend spanning multiple facilities

What We Offer:
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $97,351-$146,027 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 10% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Job Responsibilities:
Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and complex tasks.
Propose approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identify discrepancies in results.
Provide guidance to entry-level & mid-level engineers.
Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
Perform structural analysis and design for bridges with varying complexity using finite element software programs such as CSi Bridge, LEAP Concrete, FB-Multipier, MIDAS.
Implement design standards from AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, Washington DOT Bridge Design Manual, AISC Steel Manual and other standard codes.
Gather engineering data by reviewing design standards, existing plans, and other project documentation.
Collaborate with senior engineers in preparing construction documents such as engineering calculations, construction plans, technical special provisions, and cost estimates.
Guide CAD technicians to create construction plans.
Guide entry-level and mid-level engineers with software programs and engineering calculations.
Perform QA/QC to identify discrepancies and recommend necessary changes.
Review shop drawings and respond to contractor/agency comments.
Perform shop drawing reviews and collaborate with contractors on design.

Qualifications
Candidates must have a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
