Our capabilities include all facets of construction and engineering including general contracting, construction management, design-build, design-assist and turn-key project development. **Location** You will be required to work in our Honolulu, HI office. **Responsibilities** - Develop complete estimates for large, complex jobs. - Review owner plans and specifications to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project; develop plan for the actual construction to serve as basis for the estimate. - Reviewing and assisting with proposals and other documentation to prepare cost estimates - Reviews all bid and contract documents and home office legal department opinions. - Conduct site investigation prior to forming a plan of operations to identify any problems or conditions of an unusual nature that may be present. - Utilize engineer techniques and procedures to conduct investigation and adhere to standard company policy and procedures. - Perform design work as required by the project that is beyond the estimator scope of experience; handle any major technical problems encountered during bid preparation. - Stay abreast of trends and developments, such as new equipment, methods and procedures that are developing in the industry. - Become proficient in Kiewit's estimating program, "InEight Estimate". - Provide leadership and strategy in subcontractor and vendor selection process - Prepare special engineering studies or reports required by certain bid items or conditions. - Consult with owners on various problems discovered during bid preparation, design, rates, schedules, etc. **Qualifications** - Undergraduate or graduate degree in mechanical, electrical, civil or construction-related technology, OR if no degree, minimum of 8 years related work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge, skills and abilities used in estimating, as described above. Prior Field Engineers, Superintendents with Estimating field experience, encouraged to apply - 3+ years' related estimating experience in the engineering/construction space. The scope of this contract covers the Remanufacture, Overhaul, and Repair (ROR) and/or tear-down and evaluation (TD&E) of Marine Corps Ground Equipment Secondary Repairable (SECREP) items turned in at designated Government locations (CONUS and OCONUS). POSITION SUMMARY: There is a Site Manager (SM) at each LIS induction point and the SM is responsible for activities at that site to include interaction with the government customer and OEM Remanufacture Vendors to receive and issue/ship assets and address or escalate (as needed) any issues related to the LIS Program. Please Note: This position is required on site and will be stationed at one of the following Site Locations and may be required to travel to all related site locations as needed.
