As our new Business Manager, thank you for helping Kimball Electronics performing our mission of maintaining long-term customer relationships while optimizing the capacity and capability of our current facilities. Your work is supporting our growth and expansion. You are the main contact between the customer and Kimball Electronics and oversee an easy and coordinated interface between customer and Kimball plants and headquarters.
Quick Summary:
Consider this: You work on some of the most important projects in the industrial market segment at Kimball Electronics. As a Business Manager, you will contribute to our success by communicating Kimball's "Package of Value" and implementing strategic plans to develop long-term relationships in the industrial market vertical with existing OEM customers. You will work at all levels of the organization while traveling globally to provide a common look and feel for our customers. The Business Manager is an existing role within Kimball Electronics Shared Services. Our new team member will be located remotely in United States, ideally in the Midwest or on the East Coast, outside of the Jasper, IN headquarters. You will report to the Vice President, Industrial Solutions. This is a remote-working position - you will work from your home office when not traveling for customer or company visits.
We're looking for someone with the knowledge of or experience with electronics manufacturing, and technical training, but will consider someone who has demonstrated a high level of performance in program management, using marketing strategies, and leading teams. To be successful you must be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and be able to develop long term relationships.
You Will:
Short-term: (0 to 6 months)
Learn and adopt Kimball Electronics philosophies and culture
Learn and build a partnership with important personnel at the customer locations through regular onsite visits

Learn and understand main capabilities of each of our facilities
Develop an understanding of the Kimball Customer Management Model
Develop an understanding of the Kimball quote development process. Becoming efficient in the tools we use to manage our accounts using: Business Warehouse, forecast management, SAP, and our Quote Model
Understanding and learning to work within the customers processes such as S&OP process, E&O claims process, AR process
Develop an understanding of current strategy for customer account assignments, including current projects, actions, and issues within the existing customer account
Develop Strategy statements
Assume responsibility for existing launch activities.
Midterm: (6 to 18 months)
Manage Periodic Business Reviews (PBR), Scorecard, Action Plans
Guide the customer management model per Kimball philosophy.
Begin the prospecting process of identifying additional opportunities with the current account assignment
Assume complete ownership of the customer account assignment.
Create and guide next steps for continued, profitable, strategic growth.
Create and guide next steps to positive cash flow and on time AR.
Improve Productivity Plans for each customer assignment.
Longer Term: (>18 months)
Identify and lead business development improvement processes.
Support at least two accounts.
