Advancement Information Strategies at Boston University
The mission of the Advancement Information Strategies department is to provide a high-quality information infrastructure, responsive data services, impactful data analysis and streamlined reporting to support increased participation, engagement, and fundraising income for the University.
Partnering with Development and Alumni Relation colleagues and key campus partners, Advancement Information Strategies provides resources and solutions that incorporate accountability, flexibility, and confidentiality as we work to continuously improve systems, procedures, and analytics to support divisional and university goals.
Data Integrity Coordinator
This position involves researching and analyzing gifts to ensure appropriate donor credit and proper fund designation, as well as identifying discrepancies and adjusting records as deemed necessary. This position generates tax receipts daily and annually, in accordance with applicable regulations. The DI Coordinator is also responsible for reconciling gifts recorded in the CRM with deposits in coordination with the Cashier's office, updating donor records based on supporting gift documentation and transforming data received through data loads from various on campus.
In addition, this position is also responsible for preparing pledges and recurring gifts for data integration, producing, and reviewing gift receipts, communicating with university departments, such as payroll, annual giving and other third-party vendor services, and maintaining data on constituent contact preferences, alumni activities, foreign gifts, and various other data points to ensure successful engagement, participation and fundraising outcomes.
Essential Functions
Gift Accounting
Provide timely and accurate gift processing. Handle complex donations including stocks, wire transfers, planned gifts, Donor Advised Fund gifts, matching gifts and other transaction types as needed.
Maintain comprehensive electronic gift back up in an organized and accessible manner.
Scan checks to deposit directly to the bank; prepare cash and foreign check deposits for the bank and process related batches, produce and send gift receipts.
Complete integrity projects as assigned (correcting recognition credits, standardizing attribute fields, pledge application/adjustments, updating appeal codes).
Records and Database Management
Maintain biographical information, research various sources to ensure the accuracy of data and similar projects as assigned. Ensure biographical information for donors is complete and accurate.
Ensure data integrity through monitoring, implementation and streamlining of effective procedures; assist in identifying and troubleshooting data integration issues.
Assist in identifying data discrepancies and complete data integrity projects by transforming and enhancing data (correcting or removing unneeded information, standardizing fields such as salutations or street names, renaming, moving, and combining columns to ensure usability).
Participate in special short-term or long-term database projects as necessary.
Advancement and Donor Relations Services
Contact donors as needed regarding gift related errors, including declined credit cards, incomplete checks and unspecified designations.
Research giving history as needed and respond to gift and data inquiries from colleagues.
Produce and send tribute notifications.
Advancement Services
Serve as a key member of the larger Advancement Services team.
Cross-train with other gift and records colleagues to provide back-up and training support as needed.
Collaborate in the development, documentation and maintenance of processes and procedures.
Assist with training and supervising student support positions as needed.
In coordination with the director, assist in implementation and integration of new systems.
Required Skills

TD Securities is looking for candidates with varying backgrounds and experiences to join our 2027 Global Markets Summer Analyst Program - Municipals and be immersed in our inclusive culture!
This program will connect you with experienced professionals through on-the-job training . You will work alongside industry experts in a fast-paced collaborative environment. This is a ten-week program running from early June to mid-August in person in our offices in New York City.
At TD Securities, Municipals (comprised of Public Finance Banking, Municipal Sales & Trading, and Automated Trading) function within Global Markets as an integral part of the full suite of services we provide. The Public Finance team covers all sectors within the municipal finance space such as state and local governments, infrastructure, power and utilities, higher education, housing, not-for-profit health care and transportation and assists clients in analyzing and issuing various offerings of municipal securities. The Municipal Sales and Trading and Automated Trading teams are active market-makers and one of the largest liquidity providers in the muni market, covering trades of all sizes from micro-lots to big blocks. Following training, this unique program provides summer analysts with two rotations spanning approximately 4 weeks each with the banking and sales and trading teams.
The Muni team interacts frequently with other areas of the Bank, including: Debt Capital Markets, Credit Management, Market Risk Solutions, Sustainable Finance, Corporate and Investment Banking, and Global & US Fixed Income Sales and Trading.
As a summer analyst, you will:
Work with seasoned Public Finance bankers and Municipal Sales & Trading professionals and acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to become a Full Time Analyst in the municipal finance space.
Provide analytical, research, and transactional support to the Public Finance team, while assisting in the preparation of cash flow modeling and other financial analysis in connection with potential or live capital markets financings. You will also assist bankers in the preparation of proposals and pitch books for prospective and current clients detailing firm capabilities and financing solutions.
Gain exposure to the sales and trading of municipal securities and new issue underwriting by shadowing our team of industry veterans. Learn how to price municipal bonds and how to hedge and manage risk. Develop an understanding of the various market participants (dealers, customers, brokers, etc.) and how to effectively communicate and engage with them.
Learn about algorithmic trading, portfolio trading, ETF creations/redemptions by interacting with TDSAT (TD Securities Automated Trading).
Have the ability to take ownership on assigned tasks and projects, managing assignments through successful completion.
Stay fully informed on market data and trends, economic information, and key industry developments as well as regulatory standards. You will also learn to develop and maintain relationships with market participants including lawyers, financial advisors and issuing clients.
Mentorship and Networking
The internship will include a formal mentorship with employees who will act as a career guide for navigating your experience at TD Securities and beyond. Summer Analysts will have the opportunity to engage in a Senior Speaker Series designed to familiarize participants with the workings of Global Markets as well as our Corporate & Investment Banking, Equity Research, and Business Operations divisions. Summer Analysts will also be able to participate in social networking events with one-another as well as employees of the Firm to experience our culture and assimilate into our Firm.
Hands-on Experience
This is an opportunity to experience our unique culture, work on a fast-paced trading floor, attend client meetings, and build fundamental skills. You will be working with individuals across the floor to understand different aspects of Global Markets, ultimately leading to a final presentation designed to showcase critical thinking skills and increase professional presence (ie: final trade presentation).
QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuing a (4) year university or college degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
You must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. For individuals whose work authorization is or will be based on F-1 optional practical training, your degree or anticipated degree must be in a qualifying STEM program, as reflected on your Form I-20. This role is not suitable for individuals who are ineligible for a STEM OPT extension.
All majors welcome, but significant coursework in a business-related field is required

We're seeking an Innovation Intern to help us assess new potential sources of innovation, investigate and validate new technologies, develop and maintain a strategic points of view critical to HPE's market position, and support our internal operations. + Direct Ludeman Center expenditures by the staff.
+ Oversee and administer personnel and vendor management systems to ensure requirements are met for Department, University, State, and Federal guidelines/regulations.
+ Prepare reports, analyses and financial modeling to support the development of a diversified and sustainable financial model for a rapidly growing center.
+ Prepare and oversee the budget development and financial tracking of all Ludeman Center programs including, but not limited to, Junior Faculty Research Development Awards, National Conference, Annual Community Event, Symposium, Research Day, Communications and Outreach, including forecasting expenses and revenues.
+ Administer and coordinate scope-of-work, contract execution and monitoring.
+ Provide analysis of Ludeman Center funding model(s) and sources and uses.
+ Provide timely financial updates to the Ludeman Center Director and Deputy Director.
+ Coordinate with School of Medicine on physical space inventory.
+ Oversee Center computer inventory and updates to software and hardware.
+ Act as Approving Official for purchasing and travel card holders.
+ Oversee MOU process including new and existing agreements
Fundraising duties 20%:
+ Regularly monitor asset balances and revenue and expenditure activity for each source of funds to ensure activity is carried out according to donor wishes. Some agreement details are highly confidential and discretion is needed to ensure privacy.
+ Prepare program revenue reports, track program sponsors and prepare sponsor invoices.
+ Facilitate the Ludeman Center Advisory Board Finance Committee including coordinating with Committee Chair for agenda setting and material presentation.
+ Prepare and present quarterly financial reports for the external Advisory Board and ensure timely updates are provided to the Finance Committee and Advisory Board. Board presentations require knowledge of variances between budgets and actual spending.
Programmatic duties 20%:
+ Provide program analysis and reporting for donor directed programmatic spending plans including large multi-year programs with coordination with CU Advancement.
+ Provide support for community education, research and outreach programs as well as special events as needed by other Center leads. Includes advising on the appropriate purchasing instruments to be used for paying speakers, vendors and contractors.
+ Provide program support for research, mentoring and training programs including coordination with SOM, campus departments and the Office of Grants and Contracts concerning funding for new awards based upon the types of funding available and the terms of the award.
+ Provide strategic planning analysis and manage programs as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
+ 3-5 years of professional experience involving financial and human resources responsibilities.
+ A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Master's Degree in business administration, business, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
+ Two years of experience working with donors, and/or volunteer boards including correspondence, development of proposals, event planning, and management of expectations.
+ Two years of relevant related program and grant management (research, foundation, private, event, etc.) experience
+ Two years of experience utilizing and managing databases using electronic software. Two years of experience with University systems and procedures.
