Weyerhaeuser is currently seeking a Saw Filer Trainee for its sawmill located in Dodson, LA. The hourly rate for this position is $24.71 per hour.

Key Functions:
Responsible for supporting and safely executing the saw filing activities for our lumber manufacturing facility.
Safely filing and maintaining band saws and circle saws, performing machine alignment, maintaining saw filing equipment, and preventive maintenance procedures
Inspect equipment for signs of wear/damage and recognize unsafe conditions
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Demonstrated leadership in safety processes and consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to safety values
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Basic understanding of planned/preventive maintenance processes
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively team with others while implementing process changes in a rapid pace work environment
Produce quality work product and capacity to adapt to/learn new technology
Basic computer skills
Resume detailing education and experience required for consideration
Preferred Qualifications:
Journey filing experience preferred
3+ years' experience in a sawmill environment/maintenance preferred
Experience with filing shop equipment calibration and maintenance preferred
Working knowledge of hard tipped welding (alloy) and carbide plus stellite tipping preferred
Experience tensioning and leveling round saw/band saws preferred
Understanding of internal quality control and machine alignment procedures preferred

Summary:
Assists with building, installing, and troubleshooting industrial refrigeration systems by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Lays out reference points for installation of structural and functional components; drills holes and installs mounting brackets and hangers to properly secure plumbing and components.
Ability to read and utilize drawings to build refrigeration systems according to plan and function.
Lifts or hoists components into proper position and mechanically fastens with appropriate method.
Ability to solder and braze copper-to-copper connections or dissimilar metals using 3%, 15%, or 56% solder.
MIG and TIG welding skills sufficient to add structural components and/or tack components to structures.
Ability to distinguish between different types of metal tubing and fittings.
Ability to use hand tools such as tubing /pipe benders, deburring tools, pneumatic and electric drills, pipe cutters, saws, etc.
Cuts, threads, and connects pipe to functional components of system to interconnect fluid and refrigeration systems.
Reads gauges and instruments, adjusts mechanisms such as valves, controls, and pumps to leak check, evacuate, and charge systems with refrigerant.
Troubleshoots/dismantles malfunctioning systems and tests components, replaces/adjusts defective or worn parts.
Insulates refrigeration, fluid or other plumbing systems.
Assembles, tests, and installs humidification systems as required
In addition to refrigeration work, this position is also responsible for cross-training in mechanical assembly and learning to build our equipment.

The General Secretariat directs administrative, human and financial resources and activities of the Union, including the implementation of the provisions of the administrative regulations on operational questions, the dissemination of information on telecommunication/ICT matters for operational and other purposes, and the provision of legal advice to the whole of the Union. The General Secretariat coordinates the implementation of the Strategic Plan, monitors the telecommunication/ICT environment and recommends as needed action relating to the Union's future policies and strategy. The General Secretariat ensures inter-sectoral coordination and cooperation to advance a whole of ITU approach (One-ITU) in headquarters and the field. Assist in activities related to the implementation of the WSIS Stocktaking and case studies publications, including researching, drafting and editing WSIS Stocktaking reports, developing project documentation, and preparing presentations.
Assist in the management and curation of special repositories within the WSIS Stocktaking Platform, including relevant topics like gender mainstreaming and healthy aging.
Assist in building a promotional campaign and celebration of 20 years of achievement of WSIS by collecting stories from the ground.

Job Summary
The School of Science and Technology is seeking interns to participate in software development for nonprofit partners beginning in Fall '24. During a three-month period, interns will collaborate with faculty to design, develop, test, and deploy software for a nonprofit organization client.
Ideal candidates possess knowledge in software development lifecycle, version control (git), project management tools (JIRA, Trello), programming languages, web development basics (HTML/CSS, Javascript, web APIs), and additional frameworks and libraries.
Responsibilities
* Meet regularly with supervising faculty and nonprofit representatives.
