With minimum direction, the Lead IT Analyst provides technical leadership and direction for major IT projects, and/or serves as the technical authority for one or more related functions, including: network operating systems; software applications; data analytics applications, project/program management; product management; desktop support; system engineering; network infrastructure; database management; cloud services administration; and web server management. The Lead IT Analyst performs advanced, highly specialized IT work involving the business requirements, analysis, product roadmaps, planning, project management, architecture, designing, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or enhancement of complex IT systems and procedures, and may serve in a lead capacity over other IT analysts and support staff.
Distinguishing Characteristics
The Lead IT Analyst is the highest level in the IT Analyst series and may be assigned to a function as an individual technical expert, project team leader. When assigned as a technical expert, performs work requiring a very high level of technical knowledge of a specific area, or ability to integrate at a high level the knowledge of several areas, while working with a significant amount of independent authority and judgment. When assigned as a project team leader, manages and provides technical leadership of projects involving large‑scale, complex, and highly analytical tasks. When assigned as a supervisor, may perform work comparable to a project team leader, but with direct supervision over subordinate IT analysts and support staff. Build, enhance, and maintain Salesforce Experience Cloud applications used by applicants for submission, status tracking, and communication.
Optimize and support internal Salesforce Service Cloud applications, driving improvements to licensing workflows, case reviews, and eligibility tracking.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:

License, Certificate, Registration Requirements:

ABOUT THE POSITION
The NPD/VAVE Engineer serves as a corporate-level engineering resource responsible for driving manufacturability, cost optimization, and standardization across all Astec divisions.
This role supports New Product Development (NPD) and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives that align with the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Strategic Business Plan (AME SBP) - specifically under the pillars of Innovation Enablement, Process Optimization, and Operational Excellence.
By collaborating cross-functionally with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Site Manufacturing Engineering, this role ensures that products are designed and industrialized efficiently, safely, and profitably.
Deliverables & Responsibilities
1. NPD/NPI (New Product Development/Introduction)
a. Serve as the manufacturing engineering representative in product development teams.
b. Conduct Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFM/A) reviews during all design gate phases.
c. Co-ordinate with IE and AME to develop manufacturing routings, labor standards, and process documentation for NPIs.
d. Support Pilot and prototype builds to validate design, process capability and readiness for mass productions.
e. Identify and communicate manufacturability issues early in the design to minimize late-stage changes.

2. VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering)

4. Data and Digital Integration
a. Leverage tools such as Oracle Fusion, SigmaNest, Power BI and Excel based models to analyze cost, process and efficiency data.
b. Participate in Industry 4.0 Initiatives to bring digital visibility to manufacturing and product performance metrics.
c. Drive data-driven decision-making for capacity, labor optimization and cost competitiveness.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
a. Act as a liaison between Corporate AME, Site ME, Design Engineering, Procurement and Operations teams.
b. Facilitate and lead NPD/VAVE review meetings/workshops, ensuring project status, risks and savings realization.
c. Provide regular updates to AME leadership on key deliverables, metrics and Strategic Business Plan alignment progress.
6. Key Deliverables
a. DFM/A reviews and closure reports per product design phase.
b. Approved routings and time studies before pilot builds.
c. Annual Validated cost savings through VAVE initiatives.
d. Standardize AME process documents across all divisions.

To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:

Key responsibilities:
* Provide engineering design and oversight of campus Building Automation Systems (BAS), ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of HVAC and related systems
* Develop BAS design packages, including specifications, sequences of operations, control drawings, and points lists for new construction, renovations, and system upgrades, and oversee commissioning and functional testing
* Evaluate BAS vendors and platforms, including capabilities, open-protocol support, integration with existing campus systems, lifecycle cost, and service models, and make recommendations that support long-term campus needs
* Lead and manage the retro-commissioning (RCx) program for campus facilities, coordinating internal teams and external contractors to identify control issues, optimize sequences, and capture energy savings
