Qualifications
* 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience

* Relevant municipal engineering experience including designing pump stations, pipelines, water/wastewater treatment facilities
* Experience performing hydraulic modeling (using programs such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater, etc.)
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Positive attitude, self-motivated; sense of urgency to produce high quality work

Your Key Responsibilities

AECOM is seeking an experienced mid-level civil/environmental engineer to work in the Environmental Business line with an engineering design group on projects involving Integrated Facility Closure. This position involves working on projects that will encompass initial environmental site assessments of industrial facilities all the way thru decommissioning and demolition. Projects will also include site remediation and post-remediation site development, solid waste management, stormwater design/management, and oversight of construction services, for a variety of industrial and power clients across the U.S.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education.
Required to travel (25%).
Professional Engineer license in the State of Ohio and/or other states with the ability to obtain an Ohio license within 6 months.
Valid driver's License.

Demonstrate advanced knowledge in developing site/civil plans and drawings, including advanced experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D: Create Civil 3D surfaces & grading; process and evaluate raw survey data; create alignments, profiles, sections, and pipe networks.

Langan is seeking a Site / Civil Project Engineer to join its collaborative team in Cleveland, OH. This individual will serve a key function in performing and coordinating the planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects, and coaching, training, and overseeing staff. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a passionate, collaborative team of civil engineers, working on exciting and meaningful projects across many different market sectors. Our work includes projects in healthcare, higher education, distribution, K-12, commercial, office, retail, mixed-use, and more.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects. Coordinates and provides client communication;
Design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion;
Develop new clients for the firm and maintain relationships with existing clients;
Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. Monitors budgets, schedules, and project timelines. Minimizes write-offs by keeping projects on budget;
Report and proposal writing. Write and review draft reports, including feasibility studies, stormwater management reports, technical specifications, and utility reports;
Provide expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design including SWPPP preparation and water quality compliance;
Work closely with office leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization; and
Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering;
Valid Professional Engineer license;
6+ years of related site/civil land development experience;
Knowledge of local city, county and state land use processes and regulations;
Strong client development, client communication, client management abilities, and ability to develop new work;
Site/civil experience on a variety of project sites including the ability to design site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion;
Demonstrated ability effectively managing projects from concept through construction documents;
Self-starter with the ability to manage, motivate, mentor and lead others;
Ability to work well on multi-disciplinary projects;
Expertise in stormwater management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design, and SWPPP preparation;
Experienced in technical and proposal writing;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Proficiency of AutoCAD or Civil 3D;
Ability to effectively interact with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies;
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; and
Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver's license in good standing.

Your Opportunity
As a Resident Tunnel Engineer, you will be embedded on a project site in Cincinnati, Ohio, supporting ongoing project work for the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati. You will provide resident engineering, technical expertise, and construction oversight for tunnel and trenchless works, ensuring reliability, efficiency, constructability, and cost-effectiveness. You will collaborate with project managers, technical leads, contractors, and client representatives to deliver a successful project outcome.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the on-site technical expert for tunnel and trenchless construction activities.
* Oversee daily construction operations, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project requirements.
* Perform engineering calculations, review drawings, and prepare field reports.
* Coordinate with contractors, client representatives, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and facilitate project progress.
* Participate in project meetings, constructability reviews, and quality assurance/quality control activities.
* Support the development and revision of project documentation, including change orders, schedules, and cost estimates.

Your Qualifications
Capabilities and Credentials

Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geological Engineering; postgraduate degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or Structural Engineering preferred.
* Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio, or ability to obtain licensure within six months of hire.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in tunnel or trenchless design or construction activities and related geotechnical or structural engineering input; additional experience preferred.
* Experience working in field environments, including exposure to inclement weather.
