For 3 months the working days will be Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday then the following 3 months the working days will be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Core Accountabilities: Proactively monitors computer operations environment. Provides L1 support for batch, online, data communication and host system estate. Provides assistance to support personnel, infrastructure teams, 3rd party maintenance engineers. Coordinate US and UK batch schedule to ensure SLA's are met. Communication and escalation of operational issues that impact the business. Participates in the daily turnover meeting and ensures Assyst tickets are opened with all pertinent information and assigned to the appropriate resource(s) for review. Provide off hours help desk service for high priority calls following documented Essential Knowledge: Computer scheduling packages and monitoring tools such as 24x7 and Tivoli Good general knowledge of the batch schedule elements and how they are constructed Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives. Keeps abreast of all batch and host system changes Good understanding of ITIL services foundation Experience/Skills: At least 2-3 years experience of computer operations Good communicator Successfully execute operational processes and policies General understanding of server OS and network concepts required for troubleshooting.
