AECOM is actively seeking a talented and experienced need Mid-Level Mechanical Systems Inspector Position to support the US Army Corps of Engineers at Joint Base San Antonio, TX. This is an onsite,
full-time position working 40 hours per week (est. 2080 total hours per year).
Duties Shall Generally Include:
Review of plans and specifications and oversight of work to ensure construction conforms to contract drawings.
Reviewing the technical aspects of designated major design, construction, renovation or alteration projects.
Review RFIs, submittals, BCOES reviews and perform plan in hand reviews.
Review, inspect and test mechanical systems and equipment installed in projects.
Monitor and document commissioning of building systems.
Preparation of the pertinent correspondence, reports, and A-E contract criteria necessary for project completion.
Review of controversial and/or complex change orders and claims to ensure they are adequately documented and justified.
Attendance of all mechanical and plumbing meetings and providing input on effectively meeting all Requests for Proposal (RFP) and design requirements, to include any LEED requirements incorporated into the design.
Attendance of all warranty inspections and support in attaining and maintaining the contractual warranty.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
HS + 10 Years of relevant experience in construction practices, engineering, procedures, and testing, and large vertical DoD construction projects.
3 years commissioning experience.
Due to the nature of the project US citizenship is required.
Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background checks.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
Up to 50% of the time the position needs to move about indoor and outdoor construction site environments with uneven terrain, variable environmental conditions including heat, dusts, noise, moisture, and dryness.
Occasionally (10-25% of workday) performing repetitive bending/stooping, repetitive or fine hand movements, working at heights, and lifting and carrying equipment weighing less than 25 pounds.
At times the position requires working with arms above shoulder level, power gripping/squeezing (hand tools, levers, etc.), climbing stairs, using portable ladders, wearing fall protection, working in confined spaces, and lifting greater than 25 pounds.
The position requires wearing associated personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to gloves, safety glasses/goggles, face shield, safety shoes/boots, hard hat, hearing protection, and fall protection.

The Tetra Tech San Antonio office is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer with municipal stormwater engineering and project design expertise to join our team. This role will take the lead on a portfolio of unique and exciting projects to solve complex water resource problems and implement award winning projects.
In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to lead large and impactful projects with strategic clients including several large On Call contracts with the State of Texas General Land Office and Federal Contracts with the US Army Corps of Engineers as well as local municipalities. Your Role
* Project Management - manage teams of engineers and scientists while keeping within the scope, schedule, and budget constraints on large, complex, and impactful projects. This includes supervising, planning, designing, prioritizing, and providing PM expertise for projects focused on stormwater quality, GI, and LID. Provide exceptional quality assurance and quality control on client deliverables.
* Technical Project Lead - lead stormwater infrastructure design development, ensuring design disciplines work collaboratively, efficiently, and effectively and comply with regulatory requirements. You will prepare feasibility studies, design plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical documents, and contracts.
* Business Development - capitalize on our substantial existing on-call contracts with several major clients in Texas to identify and target opportunities. This includes building internal and external teams that can effectively compete, win, and perform work. Participate in strategic marketing discussions and lead proposal development.
* Manage Teams - build and manage project teams and mentor mid-level and/or junior engineers and scientists
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree (Master's Preferred) in Civil, Environmental Engineering or related engineering discipline
* Registered PE in Texas
* 10-15+ years of progressive experience conducting flood studies (concept through implementation) and analysis of stormwater/water resources projects for municipalities within Texas and nationwide
* Experience as Engineer of Record for the construction of stormwater/water resources projects
* Ability to lead a multi-disciplined team of engineers and designers in the preparation of construction, drawings, details, specifications, calculations, and engineers estimate of probable construction costs.
* Working knowledge of water quality regulations and the Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) program
* Direct experience working with MS4 jurisdictions in Texas, or the Southwest region preferred.
* Strong project management skills
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record
