Your Key Responsibilities

AECOM is seeking an experienced Safety, Health, and Environmental Specialist III to join our Northeast department of the EHS & Air Practice. This role will be based in our Germantown, MD office.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and diverse team of technical professionals dedicated to helping clients meet their EHS regulatory needs. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate at least 10 years of experience performing and managing health and safety audits, industrial hygiene related projects related to hazardous materials, have a solid understanding of related regulations and have proven experience supporting clients with industrial hygiene initiatives.
Key responsibilities and skillsets of the position include:
* Deliver moderately complex technical services across a broad range of safety, health, and environmental (SH&E) disciplines to support client compliance with SH&E standards and federal/state regulations.
* Managing and/or self-performing a wide range of industrial hygiene projects for both private and public-sector clients.
* Collaborating with other licensed/certified professionals and technical/regulatory specialists on hazardous materials and industrial hygiene projects. These projects are expected to include survey and investigation work, abatement/remediation design, and abatement/remediation.
* Provide technical and/or regulatory leadership for industrial hygiene projects throughout New England, the US, and internationally.

AECOM is seeking a Scope Change Coordinator to be based in our Baltimore, MD office to support the B&P Tunnel Replacement (BPTR) Program, among other project opportunities available at AECOM.
AECOM is the delivery partner for Amtrak on the BPTR Program that will upgrade a ten-mile section of the Northeast Corridor (NEC), America's busiest passenger rail line. The delivery partner team is responsible for supporting Amtrak with overseeing the full breadth of the program. The scope of services includes program management, design oversight, construction oversight, commissioning oversight, program controls, and commercial and capacity building. The Program will also include delivery of new roadway and railroad bridges, new rail systems and track, and a new ADA-accessible West Baltimore MARC station.
The Scope Change Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing, managing, and controlling the approved project scope baseline to ensure alignment across design, engineering, construction, and stakeholder teams. This role ensures scope changes are properly documented, evaluated, and controlled to protect project objectives related to cost, schedule, and quality. The role requires familiarity with construction or other scope change management, design or construction contracts, and project management.
The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
* Review, maintain, and control the project Scope Baseline, ensuring alignment with contract documents and approved project objectives
* Establish and maintain scope management procedures, standards, and governance frameworks
* Coordinate with engineering, design, construction, and procurement teams to verify scope definition and completeness
* Manage change requests, scope adjustments, and baseline revisions through formal change control processes
* Maintain scope logs, change registers, and audit trails
* Coordinate with subject matter experts related to risk assessments related to scope growth and scope creep

Your Key Responsibilities
- Manages project technical tasks including completing design work, calculations, writing specifications and technical reports on a wide range of civil infrastructure projects generally involving sanitary & storm sewer, water main design, pump stations, wastewater resource recovery facilities, water treatment facilities, and stormwater management/drainage plans.
- Coordinates design and report deliverable packages for submission to clients and/or approval authorities.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and attend meetings with the client, team members and sub-consultants.
- Understands and implements industry standards and manuals as well as client and regulatory agencies standards and requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering project documents, client presentations, client contact and communication pertaining to specific project deliverables.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
- Prepare engineering documents and contract documents by developing construction specifications, plans and schedules.
- Evaluates, selects, specifies, and engineers process mechanical systems or products for a project.
- Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects.
- Assist in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to request for information, prepares site observation reports, and performs other contract administration tasks.
- Participate in basic cost estimating under the direction of technical leaders to support engineering projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff.
- Involvement in regional industry professional associations.

AECOM is seeking a technically proficient Senior Rail/Transit Deputy Program Engineering Manager to work out of our Baltimore, MD Program Office. This role is on-site in Baltimore in support of a large transit infrastructure program.
The appropriately qualified applicant will work closely and in concert with the Program Manager, technical engineering staff and client, will serve in a key role directing day-to-day engineering and construction efforts and be instrumental to the successful development, implementation and delivery of the program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Organize and direct activities of the technical aspects of the program including but not limited to overseeing construction, field activity, safety, quality, risk analysis, and document control.
Balance and address the engineering outcomes with the needs and concerns of all of the program stakeholders including but not limited to the client, public, local businesses, politicians, other agencies and the regulatory community.

Provide design and construction in a programmatic, process-driven manner.
Using technical experience, provide technical design and construction oversight, including construction contractors working under a CMAR procurement ability to adhere to design specifications, budget constraints, and schedule requirements.
Collaborate with the design team and CMAR contractors to develop and implement efficient project plans and strategies including CMAR adherence to the contract technical provisions and specifications.
Review contractors change orders for technical merit.
Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships by offering consistent updates.
Promote and enforce a culture of safety across all project sites and operations.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem- solving skills with the ability to build relationships and foster a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BS in Civil Engineering, or related field + 15 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education including 6 years in a leadership role.
Preferred Qualifications:
25+years of relevant program management, planning, engineering, contract administration and construction management experience, preferably in transit infrastructure and transportation projects
$3B+capital improvement program experience.
P.E. registration, PMP or CCM certification.

Job Description
AECOM has a position available for an experienced Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) & Air team located in Germantown, MD. This position will manage and complete environmental compliance related tasks, programs and plans to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and support programs and projects associated with environmental due diligence. The successful applicant will have a working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, environmental permitting, and strong technical writing capabilities.
Competency in environmental regulatory programs including the CAA, RCRA, EPCRA, and CWA (NPDES, SPCC, and SWPPP)
Provide technical support to internal and external customers related to environmental projects, processes, audits, and compliance.
Ensure policies and procedures for the general operation of the business unit's compliance programs.
Competency in environmental due diligence; must qualify as an ASTM 1527-21 Environmental Professional and be able to write, review, and sign Phase I Environmental Site Assessment reports.
Ability to develop and manage Phase II environmental site investigations including water, soil, and air sampling, investigation techniques, and procedures.
Effectively communicate with all levels of a project team and attend client meetings, as requested.
Client facing experience in building client relationships and assisting in business growth.
Ability to organize, oversee, support, and mentor junior level employees and client personnel.
Project management experience. Successful candidate is expected to complete training and obtain AECOM's Project Manager Certification within 1 year of employment.

Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS +4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time, primarily regionally but may include some nationwide, overnight travel.
Valid Driver's License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Environmental Science or related field
7+ years of recent environmental due diligence, EHS, and subsurface investigation related experience

Job Description
AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Technician II to join our Annapolis Junction Remediation team. You will work on a diverse range of projects delivering remediation system solutions to our key clients.
The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the project team, clients, site personnel and office management, and work both independently and as part of a project team. In addition, the successful candidate will be committed to the team's success and growth; will rigorously apply safety policies and procedures; and will effectively manage the quality of field efforts within the bounds of the AECOM Quality Management System.
The role requires a strong mechanical and safety aptitude, and the candidate must have experience working with plumbing, electrical, and general construction related trades. Duties include (but will not be limited to) equipment maintenance coordination, remediation system maintenance, and environmental sampling activities. Although this is a field position that involves significant equipment maintenance and construction related activities, there will be direct interaction with clients and the candidate must have experience communicating with clients on a professional level.
This position will involve travel throughout the region on a regular basis.
The job responsibilities for the position will include but are not limited to the following:
* Performs a variety of tasks in support of project staff.
* May gather and maintain specified records of scientific data for supervisor, including but not limited to environmental sampling, operations and maintenance and inspections at client sites.
* Other activities may include assisting with calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation.
* Effective interaction with internal and external clients
* Leading and participating in field meetings, possible oversight of subcontractors, contribute to and following safe work practices, developing/following/implementing safety plans on a day-to-day basis, recognizing hazards and documenting safety observations
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* HS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
* Experience operating and maintaining soil and groundwater remediation equipment
* Ability to work outdoors, often in inclement weather conditions
* Valid US Driver's License and as a condition of employment must pass the AECOM Motor Vehicle screening
* As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a drug screening
* As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a medical screening
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with soil and groundwater
