The IHG Manager in Training (MIT) program is designed for recent college graduates to fast-track your hospitality management career. MITs will initially experience a comprehensive rotation across multiple disciplines within the hotel and/or restaurant operation, and land in a role leading and supervising a team in a set department based on the experiences available at participating properties.
Successful MITs will learn and embody the IHG culture and the culture of their respective hotel brand, develop and take their leadership skills to the next level, and should complete their program ready to step into a management position at similar property. MITs who achieve this may have the opportunity to be placed into a full-time leadership role, based on availability at the completion of their 12-month program.
MITs should expect to work a varied schedule to meet business needs which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
Program Participation & Learning
+ Complete structured rotations across multiple departments including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, sales, and other operations
+ Participate in formal training sessions, workshops, and professional development activities
+ Shadow experienced managers to observe leadership techniques and decision-making processes
+ Complete any assigned projects and assessments throughout the program duration
Operational Support
+ Assist department managers with daily operations and special initiatives
+ Support guest services initiatives and maintain high customer satisfaction standards

**Program Qualification + Experience:**
+ Applicants must be a recent graduate within the last year; applicants must have earned Bachelor's Degree or higher in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or in a related field. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.
+ At least 1 -2 years of demonstrated leadership experience through applicable hospitality roles, student-led organizations, community service or a high-end customer service role.
+ Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
+ Organized; a self-starter.
+ Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and function within a dynamic and challenging environment.
+ Must be technologically proficient and able to quickly adapt to various internal POS systems and other operational platforms.

What will I be doing?

Strategy:
* Contribute to the hotel's Annual Multi-Year Strategic Intentions and Commercial Strategy, in partnership with the hotel commercial leadership team and regional sales, revenue and marketing support
* Directly accountable for setting the strategy and delivery of hotel's sales targets including Direct Selling Revenue Streams including group rooms, banquets, catering, business transient and leisure transient
* Work with Hotel's Commercial Leadership to ensure that Business Review Guidelines (current to + 5 years) and Group Pricing & Rate Quotation Strategies are in place in order to maximize all pricing components of sales and catering opportunities and achieve positive group market share
* Strategically align sales activities and outcomes with established optimal mix, contribute to the accuracy of revenue forecasts, while executing strategies for different demand periods and the retail and group pricing targets established
* Understand and contribute to the maximization of profits in line with GOP and EBITDA targets
* Operate within departmental expense budget and forecasts
* In collaboration with hotel's commercial leaders, contribute to the development of knowledge of all competitor and market activity
Leadership:
* Lead daily and weekly business review and sales strategy meetings
* Manage and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual APEX performance process with eligible sales team members
* In collaboration with DOSM, contribute to the commercial strategy plan pertaining to sales, socialize and amend plan on a consistent basis
* Development and oversight of hotel's sales site visit strategies and approach
* Consistently conform to Hilton brand standards and corporate identity and utilize all communication tools
* Responsible for recruiting and retention of all sales roles
* Lead, engage, and develop sales team members, including ongoing performance development and Career Development Plans

Job Overview
The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for the maximization of revenue, profit, and market share associated with rooms and function spaces.
