Primary Purpose: Perform liquid product handling of a variety of chemicals and petrochemicals in an industrial work environment. The product handling will be by way of barges, tank-to-tank transfers, tank car, and tank truck, boiler operations and/or other work required within the terminal. Responsibilities: • Perform associated work as directed by work orders and/or supervision consistent with standard operating procedures, state and local regulations in a safe, timely and cost effective manner • Climbing elevated tanks to determine the volume of material in the tank via a gauging process • Transfer chemical and/or petroleum products to and from various bulk containers including rail cars and tank trucks • Open and close valves, connect and disconnect hoses in order to allow for the proper product transfer • Perform daily walk around inspections of the liquid handling equipment over a multi-acre facility • Performs heating functions of required products in terminal storage facilities and mode units as required; operation of an industrial boiler may be required • Conducts spill clean-up operations as required • Performs housekeeping responsibilities around operational activities, on the grounds and at the buildings • Properly label containers and vessels as required per DOT regulations • Actively participate in safety programs and initiatives and procedure and policy training, including any required testing • Regular and predictable attendance • Complete required customer and company documentation such as bills of lading in a clear and legible manner • Other duties as assigned Educational Requirement: • High School Diploma or equivalent Job Requirements: • Minimum of 1 year experience in an industrial environment • Familiarity with pipe wrenches, box wrenches and other similar tools • Must possess and maintain a drivers' license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers • Mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, fractions, multiplication/division and percentages, are required • The ability to work from written and verbal instructions • Ability to speak and understand English • Ability to write legibly • Ability to work with others, takes direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details, and follow work rules • Must be able to obtain a TWIC card • Successful completion of background check and drug screen upon offer Physical Requirements: • Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs. • Must be able to wear standard PPE (hard hat, goggles, rain gear, steel toe boots, gloves) and qualify to wear a full face respirator • Must be able to stand, sit or walk for long periods of time, up to 12 hours in duration • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and raise your body weight as high as 4 feet • Must not have a fear of water or heights (over 40 feet); the ability to swim is a plus • Able to traverse uneven and slippery walking surfaces • Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions, as a majority of the time will be working outside • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, rotational shifts and be available for emergency assignments • Must be willing to work hours during the week and/or weekends and holidays in a 24 our per day operation Preferred Experience: • Trade school, formal training/significant work experience handling Hazardous liquid chemicals, or associates degree • Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, Industrial Hygiene and other industry regulations

At-will means that either you or Archaea may terminate your employment at any time, with or without cause, and with or without prior notice. **About the role** The Field Service/Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly skilled mechanical, electrical, electronic and instrumentation work in the installation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of Archaea plant equipment, including but not limited to: troubleshooting simple to complex issues, rigging, maintaining and repairing pumps, engines, electric motors, fans, compressors, piping, valves, filters, traps, vaporizers, heat exchangers, gas meters, gas, instrumentation, MCC's, VFD's, and fire detection equipment. This position will be based out of Assai plant and requires travel to Archaea plants within the region. **Key accountabilities** + Works closely with the plant operations team in the troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment. + Repair, replace, and adjust malfunctioning equipment to restore proper operating conditions specified in regulations and repair manuals. + Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment as needed. + Tests and calibrates, to established industry standards, equipment such as pressure and temperature transmitters, valve positioners, pneumatic controllers, electronic controllers, pressure and temperature switches and other process control equipment. + Records equipment readings, interprets abnormal readings and alarms to take pre-designated corrective action including activation of emergency equipment and procedures. + Performs equipment inspections to ensure that the equipment is safely maintained and operable; performs related testing and repair as needed. + Calibrates electronic instrumentation, verifies, and adjusts equipment tolerances and records results on calibration checklists. + Performs work orders for inspections and both preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with company procedures. + Maintains test equipment calibration records + Assists in tracking spare parts inventory reporting deficiencies for restock and reorder. + Assists with electrical control system designs and modifications when requested + Follows control system techniques and best practices + Assists with new plant start up testing. + Maintains current knowledge of the latest codes, standards and best practices to encourage electrical safety for personnel and equipment protection. + Assists with PLC programming for a wide variety of processes, control system hardware and wiring, HMI systems, and a wide variety of hard-wired control circuits. + Assists the bid solicitation process from equipment suppliers and oversees procurement of major control systems components such as switchgear, custom control panels, MCC's, PLC's, and HMI systems if requested + Assists with quality control over all new control systems equipment, performing pre-delivery inspections and tests at supplier facilities where needed. + Observes operating of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems, and the need for service, repair/replacement of mechanical components and necessary adjustments. + Assist other maintenance team members in repairs and downtime events. + Work shift is 10 hours per day 4 days per week. Travel requirement will reduce to 25% per month when working at an existing plant or in year 2 and beyond for a new plant). **Key Accountabilities** + Manage the safe operation of the plant during assigned shift in the most efficient and productive method to maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and prescribed safety and environmental standards. + Make periodic inspections of plant equipment to determine proper and normal operating conditions. Check and record operational data such as fluid levels, temperatures and pressures, compare to trends and have the ability to make corrections as needed. + Review daily operating reports and other records to ensure specified operating characteristics in control of the plant equipment. + Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on plant instrumentation and equipment. + Detect and correct faulty and malfunctioning mechanical and electrical components, devices and equipment. + Operate advanced instrumentation and process control systems. + Diagnose equipment malfunctions during emergencies and direct activities to restore normal operation or to shut down malfunctioning unit. + Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters. + Troubleshoot and repair electrical system wiring from control wiring up to 480 volts.
