He is a past board member of Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco and of the Customized Logistics and Delivery Association. Rob raised over $60 million in venture capital and angel money for the companies he founded. He is a frequent speaker on the supply chain, retail and technology and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, US News and World Report, the San Francisco Chronicle and many others. His experience with start-ups, Silicon Valley, venture capital, private equity, logistics and retail are unique. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Yale University.

Benjamin A. Breier has served as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Kindred Healthcare since March 2015.

In July 2018, Mr. Breier led a consortium of buyers including Humana, TPG, and WCAS in taking KND Private.

Prior to the LBO, Kindred was the largest post acute provider in the United States with Revenues of $7.5 Billion, 115,000 employees, and more than 2,500 locations across the country.

In Feb 2015 Mr. Breier led the hostile public takeover and integration of Gentiva Health Services. Following this acquisition Kindred @Home, the nations largest Home Health and Hospice company was created.

He had been President and Chief Operating Officer of Kindred Healthcare, Inc. since May 2012. He was named Chief Operating Officer in August 2010. Previously he served as Executive Vice President and President of Kindred Healthcare’s Hospital Division from March 2008 to August 2010. Mr. Breier served as President of Kindred’s Rehabilitation Division from August 2005 to March 2008.



Prior to joining the Company, he served as Concentra, Inc.’s Senior Vice President of Operations from December 2003 to August 2005. He was Concentra’s Vice President of Operations from June 2001 to December 2003.



Mr. Breier received his bachelor’s in economics from the Wharton School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania in 1993. He also holds a master’s in business administration and a master’s in health administration from The University of Miami (Fla.).



In September 2010, Mr. Breier was named to the 2010 “Up & Comers” list by Modern Healthcare magazine. The annual “Up & Comers” list recognizes rising young leaders aged 40 and under who are making a difference in healthcare.

In 2015, 2016, and 2017 Mr. Breier was named one of the top 100 \'Most Influential People in Healthcare\', by Modern Healthcare Magazine.

Marc Rothman, MD, is the Chief Medical Officer of Kindred Healthcare where he oversees the company’s physician strategy, and drives practitioner network development and recruitment across multiple service lines, including long-term acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation, home health and hospice. Dr. Rothman is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and is a Certified Medical Director. He is a member of the American Medical Directors Association, American Geriatrics Society, American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, American College of Physicians, and the Society of General Internal Medicine.
