It works , There is a system in place .Higher ups care about the outcome of the days production .Presidents ,Vice Presidents and Supervisors make frequent visits to the stores.There is a human side and a general concern about the workers . The best job I ever had .After working 30 years at my trade , I do appreciate King Kullen.
Short Staffed.
Air temperature ,cool in the summer .Good lighting and music.
The Lindenhurst location has a nice environment. The employees are all friendly and respectful to each other. The managers and supervisors seem nice and fair. Seems well run so far. Bakery department has the best crew! Everyone is kind and gets along great! The manager is really easy to work with. Fair and flexible, but still gets things done/not a pushover. Keeps a clean workplace. Helpful without micromanaging. Workers respect her. The entire department gets along great!
The only reason I gave the store 4 stars is the pay. Mostly minimum wage, even for skilled workers. You get a $.25 raise after a month or so, but that's when union dues kick in, so the pay is actually under minimum wage when you take union dues into account.
I like my job and the people I work with, and the hours are flexible
Not much period they’re paranoid and overreactive in management and security period everything is extreme except the money and pay
Just about everything is not liked especially being watched every second is crawling down your neck Then they start accusing you the worker of taking things because they just sense your discomfort and becomes suspicious over their own causation of it
there aren’t any they make $800 billion yet they will not let employees eat anything period there’s nothing good about it unless you consider being followed around by the security on the cover like they think of the professionals period first of all this is a Family food store or supposed to be one period they act like this is a militant place and they are crazy
