Mitchell J. Krebs was named President and CEO in July 2011. He joined Coeur in 1995 after spending several years in the investment banking industry in New York. Mr. Krebs has held various positions in the corporate development department, including Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. In March 2008, Mr. Krebs was named Chief Financial Officer, a position he held until being appointed President and CEO. He holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard University. To gain a global multi-commodity perspective he spent four years working for McIntosh Redpath Engineering on mining studies for companies including; CVRD, Rio Tinto, Barrick, Freeport McMoran, and Falconbridge among others. After re-joining Vale, Jason has spent ten years gaining operational and engineering experience. He has held positions of increasing responsibility up to General Manager Labrador Operations (Voisey's Bay) for Vale.As the Chief Operating Officer for Torex Gold Resources he led the construction and operation of the Morelos Gold Project (ELG Mine) in Southwestern Mexico.Now as the Chief Executive Officer of Orla Mining Limited will build a new gold company creating value through the exploration and development of prospective mining assets.
