SUMMARY OF POSITION Kinsley is seeking a skilled Curb Machine Operator to join our construction team in York, PA. The ideal candidate will operate specialized curb machinery to place concrete curbs, sidewalks, and road edges according to project specifications. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in outdoor construction environments. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Operate stringline and stringless curb machines to place concrete curbs and other related structures. Perform daily pre-operational inspections, minor maintenance, and adjustments on machinery. Load and monitor concrete in the machine hopper, ensuring proper consistency and smooth application. Adjust machine settings for height, slope, and alignment to meet project specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, set grades, and verify elevations accurately. Ensure proper placement of vibrators, sensors, and molds for quality finishes. Coordinate with crew members and supervisors to maintain workflow and safety on the job site. Assist with additional concrete tasks such as form setting, finishing, and site cleanup as needed. Maintain equipment and job site cleanliness at the end of each shift. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA guidelines consistently. Perform other related duties as required. REQUIREMENTS Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; punctuality required. 2-3+ years of experience operating construction equipment, preferably curb machines. Strong mechanical skills with the ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting. Excellent attention to detail and precision in alignment and finish quality. Ability to read blueprints, set grades, and verify elevations. Knowledge of proper vibrator, sensor, and mold placement. Proficient in string line setup and adjustment. Ability to work outdoors for extended periods, in all weather conditions, and on various terrain. Self-motivated, able to work independently, and meet production goals and deadlines. Our work includes machinery moving, complete facility relocate, plant maintenance, field fabrication, piping disconnects and reconnects, and installation of various material handling systems. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Use instruments for precise layout. Perform rigging work including jacking, skating, heavy forklift operation and loading/unloading trucks. Perform steel erection including shake out, connections and detail work.
