Key Responsibilities:

SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are seeking detail oriented and experience Fabricators for our growing industrial fabrication team in York, PA. A successful candidate should have a willingness to learn and basic understanding of complex drawings and instructions.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Layout, fit up, assemble and fabricate using engineered drawings.
Welding structural and plate steel parts as specified per drawings and marked up weld symbols.
Experience with pipe fitting and welding is preferred.
Maintain good housekeeping.
Obtain and maintain the required welding certification(s).
Assure the structural components are welded correctly with visual inspection.
Safely operate overhead cranes, air arc, grinder and magnetic drill and any other required tools of the trade.
Communicate up and down the line to ensure quality and completeness.
Assure work is completed in a safe manner while following all required safety policies.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including but not limited to, cleaning work area, operating break machine, shear and other production related jobs.

Visit project sites for troubleshooting and for the purposes of ensuring project quality. Site visits to be at least once a week
Oversee project security and safety
Prepare project AIA Billing requisitions with project secretary
Review all purchase orders, delivery tickets, subcontractor requisitions, and invoices to see that they are coded correctly for project costing
Maintain all project files: submittals, shop drawings, maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, punch lists

ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary function of the Cement Technician position is to safely and efficiently maintain the required supply of tires on the kiln tire delivery system. This primarily involves loading tires from trucks onto hooks and moving full trailers to the dock and removing empty trailers.

Promptly reports unusual circumstances, problems or difficulties to supervisor

Schedules and performs periodic cycle counts. Organizes stock and coordinates total inventory counts.
Tracks history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and performs remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
Issues written (Standard Operating Procedures documentation) and oral instructions regarding warehouse processes and procedures. Examines work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university OR one year of related experience and/or training

Mathematical skills including probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
Demonstrated leadership ability

What's the job?
The Manager of Loss Prevention will be challenged each and every day with opportunities to solve problems that directly relate to the overall safety of our plants processes and equipment. This position will be responsible for developing and then executing a loss prevention plan focused on the areas that present the most opportunity for the company. This position will also work with the plants to develop best in class business continuity programs ensuring that we can return to operations as quickly and efficiently as possible after suffering a property damage loss. The position will also assist the with the post mortem of property related losses to develop stronger plans and processes to prevent similar loss within or company.
The Manager of Loss Prevention will be responsible for guiding the individual businesses and plants on application of the Loss Prevention Manual in order to uphold the standards that have been set forth by the Group. This position will serve as the subject matter expert on all things related to loss prevention in regards to all projects including M&A activity and expansions to existing facilities. This position will also collaborate with the global network of loss prevention coordinators to help create best practices as part of their duties as head of North American Loss Prevention.
The Manager of Loss Prevention will report directly to the Director of Risk Management making the position one of high visibility within the company given the Risk Management department reports directly to the COO of the Region.
What do you bring?
Bachelor of Engineering Degree preferably in chemical/mechanical/industrial/civil. Not required but preferred the individual is working towards an advanced degree and/or professional certification in one or more of the following areas: PE or NFPA-CFPS
Insurance designation CPCU or ARM a plus but not required
Minimum of 5 years' field engineering experience within a manufacturing or similar environment with a demonstrated understanding of process and/or fire safety
Ability to travel up to 20%
