What We Are Looking For: * Trade school graduate or two-year Associate's degree in a mechanical, electrical, or mechanical technician program. Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred. * Two years (minimum) experience in troubleshooting electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment. The successful candidate must have some work experience with material handling equipment. Service experience with * Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGV), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), or conveyors are highly prized. * The candidate must be willing to travel on short notice and spend more than 80% of the time traveling. The candidate may be continuously away from home for as long as a month (offer travel expenses). * Must be willing to be available during off hours and travel accordingly. * Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts. * Must be able to act calmly in stressful situations. * Must be able to write concise, clear, and complete trip reports in the time frame required according to Dematic procedures. * The candidate must have knowledge of using personal computers for word processing, database functions, and communications. Understanding personal computer hardware setup and software configuration is required. * Working experience with troubleshooting Programmable Logistic Controllers (PLC) is required.
