Job Description Middle School Lead Teacher (All Grades, All Subjects) KIPP New Jersey is looking for a motivated teacher with a track record of molding future leaders in our communities. You are passionate about education and understand the importance of building strong relationships in generating student achievement. You are dedicated to going above and beyond to ensure our students succeed. We are looking for teachers in the following subject areas: English Language Arts (ELA) History Math Science Enrichment: Physical Education, Performing and Visual Arts, Financial Literacy, etc Here's what you'll be doing: Joining our schools as a teacher comes with a lot of growth opportunities, but with great power comes great responsibility. A belief that all students deserve a world class education which can be achieved through education reform Certification Requirements In order to be eligible for hire, all general education teaching candidates must meet the following criteria (details below): Hold a valid teaching certification in NJ -or- Meet The GPA Requirement GPA Requirement If you graduated after September 2016: Have a bachelor's or master's GPA on a conferred degree that is ≥ 3.0 -or- Have a bachelor's or master's GPA on a conferred degree that is between 2.75 and 3.0 AND demonstrate that you have passed all required Praxis exams with a +10% passing score (super scores) If you graduated before September 2016: Have a bachelor's or master's GPA on a conferred degree that is ≥ 2.75 Additional Information Compensation & Benefits KIPP NJ offers competitive salaries to newly hired lead teachers. Salaries are based on prior experience and in accordance with certification requirements. KIPP NJ offers a competitive salary range of $63,000-$101,000+ for teacher positions with additional opportunities for earning up to $5,500 annually in performance-based pay.
