We persevere through obstacles and treat failure as an opportunity to learn and grow.What You'll Do Under the guidance of the regional Special Education leadership team, the Regional Case Manager will case manage the IEP process for a portfolio of 1-3 schools to drive forward and ensure special education compliance to established policies, procedures and/or regulations. All ideal candidates will be passionate about meeting the needs of all students, have specialized expertise working in special education, especially in the area of special education compliance, and have a “make it happen” attitude. Case manage all IEPs at assigned sites and be responsible for all IEP development, including IEP meeting coordination and facilitation, and maintaining all required documentation as required by federal, state and district regulations Effectively facilitate contentious IEP meetings, using a student-centered approach to resolving disagreements Manage IEPs in district's Welligent or SEIS program Ensure IEP timeline compliance of assigned caseload by using regionally mandated process and documentation Complete weekly KIPP internal reporting documents for assigned sites Develop related goals and objectives and recommend policies, planning, and implementation by working with school staff to meet the needs of students with special needs. Serve as a resource for information regarding special education services, programs and policies and ensure that procedures are appropriate in relation to policies required by region, district, state and federal regulatory requirements. Administer formal academic assessments, and write the accompanying academic reports Analyze assessment results to drive IEP development Monitor services provision using reports and communicate with stakeholders as needed about service provision Serve as a resource and consult with teachers, administrators and KIPP regional staff. What You'll Do The School Operations Coordinator will support the school operations team in the day-to-day operations. They will have a significant role in creating and implementing policies, systems, and procedures. They will establish a school culture centered on our core values and ensure our students climb the mountain to and through college. School Systems: Provide logistical support and coordination for field trips and end of year field lessons. Be first responder to teacher calls for support in the classroom. Support planning and execution of school-wide events and fundraisers. Coordinate purchasing/distribution for materials and services (e.g., field trips, uniforms, office supplies, and teacher supplies) as assigned by Assistant School Leader of Operations. Support the School Nutrition Program when needed (e.g. meal application entry, monthly meal calendar submission, daily meal count reporting, monthly compliance documentation submission, and meal balance collection). Support student health services when needed and report major injuries and other school incidents (e.g. administer basic first aid, maintain medication authorization forms and distribute medication, maintain injury reports, and contact parents as necessary). Supports daily attendance procedures and works with the Registrar to ensure the accuracy of students' daily attendance. Supports the goal of achieving a high ADA by communicating attendance expectations to families and assisting in other activities. About the School Leader Fellow Program KIPP SoCal Public School's School Leader Fellow Program is a primarily a two year residency program designed for aspiring school leaders. During the Fellow Program, participants serve as Assistant School Leaders to their assigned site.
