The Bakery Manager reports to the Store Manager(s) and has direct responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the Bakery Department at their location. Key Accountabilities: Top Line Bakery Sales and the bottom-line Profitability of the Bakery Department.

Job Functions:
Works cooperatively with Bakery Category Manager, and reports to the store managers to develop and deliver a variety of offerings that "WOW" our customers.

Organizes custom orders and promotional items, through effective communications, record keeping, checklists and follow-through.
Stays knowledgeable of our Bakery competitors; identifies ways to build a competitive edge.
Is knowledgeable about Buehler's personnel policies and procedures, and federal and state labor laws, and sees that they are administered properly.
Plans ahead for seasonal changes, holidays, special events and promotions, with particular emphasis on organization and making the most of each opportunity.
Proactive in defining and resolving both employee and customer issues; communicates well with Store leadership, associates, customers, subordinates, and others.
Performs related duties as required or assigned.

* Implement all physical improvements to the plant communities including planting, weeding and trimming.
* Responsible for maintaining the site's irrigation system.
* Oversee any third-party vendor(s) to maintain good relations through positive communications.
* Operates large power lawn mowers, edgers, hand tools, and large vehicles associated with ground maintenance and landscaping activities.
* Cut lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walkways, flower beds, and walls.
* Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.
* Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitos, wasps, ticks, and others.
* Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth.
* Comprehensive inclement weather planning and execution - snow, ice, natural disaster, etc.
* Perform routine maintenance duties such as applying plaster, fixing fountains, and other duties.
* Sweep walkway of debris.
* Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger.
* Trim shrubs and pull weeds.
* Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping.
* Empty all trash receptacles and replace with liners.
* Install lawn furniture.
* Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed.
* Install rock, cement, lighting, water, and furniture.
* Water plants and grass as needed and apply fertilizer.
* Operates pick-up trucks, flat-bed trucks, and dump trucks for hauling purposes and for trash and debris removal.
