We are seeking a confident Kitchen Steward to join our dynamic team. As a Kitchen Steward, you will clean, transport and store all china, glassware and silverware. Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas and back dock.
Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all areas of the dish room, kitchen aisle, and dock area. Break down trays, setup dish machine, wash dishware, and sort store all clean china, glass and silver using proper procedures. Clean tile walls and baseboards. Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must possess a valid State and City Health, food handling, laws certification issued by the County Health Department.
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Finger/hand dexterity in order to operate food machinery. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 75 lbs. on a continuous schedule.

What will I be doing?
As a Kitchen Steward, you are responsible for carrying out general cleaning duties and operating pot-washing machinery to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Kitchen Steward will also be required to ensure all back of house areas are kept clean, and observe COSHH and health and safety guidelines. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
* Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards
* Carry out general cleaning as directed to include sweeping, mopping up, washing up, emptying of rubbish bins and boxes ensuring placement in the correct containers, and ensuring bin area is kept clean and tidy
* Ensure the correct PPE is in place and guidelines are adhered to
* Observe COSHH guidelines when handling hazardous substances and comply with all aspects of Health and Safety requirements
* Report any maintenance and, or, hazard issues to the supervisor on duty
