Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
KLA is looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to Support our FaST division in planning, forecasting and analyzing fixed cost. This position has ample scope for learning and growth, with high visibility and exposure to full P&L.
Responsibilities:
* Support FaST division leadership team in planning, forecasting and analyzing Fixed Cost (headcount, T&E, Project Materials, Depreciation, Allocations, etc).
* Manage division's $150M+ annual budget ensuring spending is on track by understanding the spending profile and continuously balancing between different spend categories.
* Support PLC (product life cycle) managers building and maintaining ROI models on multiple products with different scenarios.
* Responsible for monthly forecast, quarterly close including expense reconciliation, accruals, balance sheet review, and analyzing actual results with comparison to forecast
* Build and maintain standardized monthly and quarterly management reports
* Ad hoc analysis - analyze data from different perspectives and angles to help support business decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
* The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of progressive experience in managing operating expense in a high-tech environment and business partnering to drive cost efficiency
* Strong financial analytical and modeling skills. Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint and familiarity with SAP/Workday or comparable systems

Senior Financial Analysts will drive a number of impactful activities:
VP Support
Assist in the development the VP's comprehensive annual budget and quarterly updates
Participate in the month-end financial close with budget variance analysis and commentary
Track and report key area VP metrics (e.g. weekly sales, productivity, ROI)
Measure and report the VP's headcount metrics in assessing area resource efficiency
Monitor the VP's office space utilization to facilitate effective site and facilities management
Decision support activities (not exhaustive)
P&L scenario modeling
Product line performance - sales mix, price/cost analysis; explain margin performance
Direct vs. rep/channel sales coverage
Sales funnel - stage yield analysis
Price management - big deal analysis, pricing trends
Workforce cost structure optimization - salary grade level and geographic mix analysis
Required qualifications:
MBA from a top ranked & nationally recognized business school
BA/BS in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or engineering field
Strong academic achievement at the undergraduate and graduate level
3-5 years practical work experience prior to graduate school
Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and modeling skills
Effective verbal and visual presentation skills
Ability to work within a dynamic and cross-functional team environment
Eager to rotate into new Finance roles every 2-3 years

The Operations Controller is responsible for supporting global operation finance management topics, especially for the plant sites in US, driving continuously improvement in finance operation and partnering business.
This position reports to the Finance Director Operations and is part of the Global Ops Finance team located in San Jose, CA, US and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Act as a key business partner to the operation director and operations staff, contributing to process improvement and execution
+ Support the setting up, monitoring, managing and follow up actions for global operation KPI objectives, finance bowler and saving projects.
+ Drive continuous improvement in the financial operations and FP&A for plants located in US and Austria
+ Analyze and report on manufacturing efficiency variances, providing insights and recommending corrective actions
+ Ensure a robust system of internal controls is in place for inventory and maintain SOX compliance
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting field with 5+ years of experience OR Master's degree in field with 3+ years experience OR Doctorial degree in field with 0+ years experience
+ Practical experience in costing, financial planning, reporting and control.
+ Ability to work with high self-motivation, be sensitive to numbers and the capacity to work in a changeable and stressful environment.
+ Well-developed inter-personal skills and good communication skills. Strong business partnering and teamwork mindset.

+ Ability to travel - Less than 10%

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
