Kleinfelder is seeking multiple PCI Level II/III Inspectors to join our growing team. The PCI Level II/III Inspector will serve as a field and plant quality oversight for precast concrete components initially focused on a Bay Area transportation project. This position will ensure full compliance with project contractual and PCI quality standards during fabrication, delivery, and erection of structural and architectural precast elements. The Inspector will apply professional judgment to verify construction conformance, quality control and quality assurance processes supporting the delivery of safe, durable, and long-lasting rail infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform advanced Quality inspections of precast and prestressed concrete elements including girders, pier caps, platform panels, parapets, and structural segments.
* Ensure all work complies with PCI MNL-116, MNL-117, MNL-135, project specifications, and approved shop drawings.
* Oversee and document stages of production, including reinforcement placement, prestressing operations, concrete batching, placement, curing, stripping, finishing, and handling/storage.
* Observe and verify post-tensioning, grouting.
* Conduct or witness concrete field tests (slump, temperature, air, cylinders) and confirm calibration of all test equipment.
* Review inspection reports, test data, and material certifications.
* Evaluate concrete mix designs, material submittals, and prestressing strand documentation for compliance with contract and PCI requirements.
* Maintain thorough daily inspection logs, photos, and nonconformance records within approved project documentation platforms.
* Coordinate closely with Contractor QC, Contractor QA, and other oversight personnel to ensure timely issue resolution and compliance verification.
* Participate in pre-pour and pre-erection meetings, quality audits, and third-party inspections.
* Promote and enforce project safety and environmental compliance requirements in all field activities.
Qualifications
* PCI Level II or Level III Certification (required).
* Minimum 7-10 years of progressively responsible QA/QC or inspection experience with precast or prestressed concrete on major transportation or rail infrastructure projects.
* Proven knowledge of ACI, ASTM, and PCI requirements.
* Demonstrated experience overseeing fabrication QA/QC programs at PCI-certified plants and field erection of structural components.
* Proficiency with Procore, CMIS, BIM 360, or equivalent documentation platforms.
* Strong technical writing, communication, and coordination skills.
* OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour Construction Safety training (preferred).
* Valid California driver's license and ability to travel to fabrication plants and job sites across the Bay Area.

Primary Responsibilities
Our Northern California Transportation Business Group is looking for a strong Senior Environmental Transportation Planner with a thorough understanding and experience both supporting and managing a range of project types. Primary Responsibilities

Project Coordinator - Construction Management

What You'll Do: * Data Intake & Management * Create and maintain structured folder systems for client and internal data. * Collect, validate, and package client-provided data for internal team review. * Validate and generate KMZ files from client data. * Access and retrieve required/requested data from client platforms.
Project Execution Support
* Update and manage project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
* Maintain project trackers and provide regular status updates on deliverables.
* Draft weekly progress reports and updates for client submission (via PM review).
* Coordinate billing activities with the billing team to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
* Act as liaison with the Project Controls team to ensure project plans and VantagePoint are current and accurate.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in: Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field
* 3-7+ years of experience in electric utilities, construction, energy, engineering, consulting or related industries.
* Demonstratable proficiency with MS365 Apps, Power BI, SharePoint, Google Earth, SAP, Microsoft Project
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
* Experience in data analytics and reporting.
* Familiarity with Copperleaf, EGIS, Fulcrum, Visio, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and ERP systems
Key Competencies:
* Ability to manage large datasets and ensure data integrity.
* Skilled in coordinating across multiple teams and stakeholders.
* Familiarity working with AI-driven tools and advanced analytics platforms.

* This position pays between $84,756.15 and $91,536.640 annually and is an exempt position.
* Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.

What You'll Do: * Meets and exceeds established productivity and quality targets. Is mindful of project timelines and budget constraints. * Conducts communications in a professional and clear manner; communications are timely and in an appropriate format for the topic.
* Identifies information to be communicated to the client and project stakeholders through team leads and project managers.
* Completes design tasks for associated utility design projects. Tasks include but are not limited to design, drafting, calculations, easement validation; cost estimating & permit package development.
* Managing multiple tasks to ensure timely, successful completion of projects resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction and company/departmental goal achievements.
* Performs accurate updates/additions of new data to client records on all simple, medium, and some complex work content daily
* Identifies errors on source material and/or client data records and informs appropriate project members of resolution assistance required.
* Coordinates projects to accomplish timely construction and meet client needs
* Learns and incorporates company safety rules and policies, company design standards and governing authority regulations into daily work and designs. Designs will meet all requirements of applicable company safety standards, company distribution construction standards, and governing authority regulations
* Trains junior team members in established project processes and standards
* Self-checks work assignments prior to submitting for review, completes work with minimal errors. Participates in peer reviews and QC reviews.
* Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
* 1-2 years of experience in overhead or underground electrical distribution design
* Working knowledge of SAP and O-Calc, AutoCAD (AUD experience strongly preferred)
* Ability to travel up to 20% for hybrid work expectations (local travel only)
* Associate's degree preferred
