What You'll Do:
* Support Water Infrastructure Projects: Assist in the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure for public and private clients. Projects may include membrane treatment systems, water reuse strategies, permitting, and system integration.

Role accountabilities:
This role provides engineering and design services to produce design & construction documents for projects. They will coordinate with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers assigned to the project and prepare technical memorandums and develop design criteria, SCADA system architecture, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), SCADA network diagrams, process control functional narratives, control schematics, panel layout diagrams, and interconnection diagrams.
Additional duties include:
Support projects and clients in the planning, design and construction of water/wastewater facilities and other similar industrial facilities, serving as Arcadis' main point of contact with our clients for their I&C needs.
Project Manager leading all facets of project, to include; budgeting, planning, cost estimating, design and execution of SCADA and instrumentation & control systems.
Support electrical engineering and developing electrical design to support the I&C systems design. Conduct factory testing, site acceptance testing, field checkout, and startup of I&C and SCADA system startups. Program process control logic in PLCs and configure graphical HMI for SCADA system on a variety of platforms. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or a closely related field of study
7+ years of I&C, Automation, and SCADA system design and implementation experience in water/wastewater market.
Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain license within 12 months.
Key Skills and Attributes:

Role accountabilities:
Use Arcadis standards and specifications for water/wastewater design and construction projects. Design and construction support for water/wastewater treatment plants, storm water systems, distribution/collection systems, and pump/lift stations. Additional duties include:
* Assist in creation of construction documents and specifications and interact with and oversee the work of CAD staff.
* Meet established budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment; for project/task scope, schedule, and budget.
* Engage with clients to support needs and provide solutions.
* Coordinate execution of projects with other engineering disciplines and office personnel.
* Develop design projects from inception to completion, prepare construction packages (including all deliverables) for the engineering, procurement, and construction of water/wastewater systems for clients.
* Create cost estimates and project schedules and perform detailed engineering calculations and analysis and use design software to solve complex challenges.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field of study.
* Minimum of 4 years of experience in water/wastewater/recycled water facilities design and construction support.
Key Skills and Attributes:
* Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills and excellent technical writing skills. Client relationship skills are a plus. Functional experience with MS Office applications.
* Experience preparing and reviewing project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Current PE License in Ohio, or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
* Task Lead, Task Manager, or Design Lead experience on water/wastewater projects of various sizes.

Projects range in size and complexity from small to large, including both distribution and transmission type projects. Consideration for an Engineer position requires the following certifications or experience:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
