Manufacturing Development Program - Kenosha
Gain first-hand experience across a broad range of functions and departments in a leading beverage manufacturer as a member of our Manufacturing Development Program (MDP). Through this 15-month rotational program, learn to be a leader of people or processes by participating in hands-on experience, project work and professional development.
As an MDP participant, you will spend 9 months rotating through plant departments while working on cost or time-saving projects that are impactful to the plant and Niagara. All participants will rotate through Production, Maintenance and Warehouse, but other department rotations can include: operations, engineering, human resources, or quality assurance, depending on availability and interest.
Each MDP Participant will have the opportunity to act as a Plant Supervisor for 6 months, in order to fully understand the scope of the role and its importance to the plant's overall performance. This will provide the MDP a chance to engage their leadership and problem-solving skills when it comes to people and technical issues. This supervisor experience will prepare the MDP for a leader of people or process role upon graduation.
Relocating after completing the program is crucial, as it broadens the range of job opportunities available.

Position Overview:
This position is a stepping stone into a Maintenance Technician career at Johnsonville Sausage. As a high speed packaging technician, you will be responsible for the daily maintenance and operation of the packaging line. WHAT IS HARVEST? Harvest is the department at Johnsonville where Members disassemble the euthanized sows (female pigs), essentially removing from the body anything that won't go into our brats, breakfast sausage and ground pork products. The Harvest Members have the task of taking a mostly untouched carcass and removing the hide, head, internal organs, and feet so that the De-Boning Department can then remove all the meat from the bones. There are a variety of different positions on the Harvest Floor, but all of them require some form of handling the sow's body or body parts.

Finished Goods Line- Machine Operator
Watertown, WI
Starting Hourly Rate: $24.09 plus $1.50 shift premium. Skill block completion will increase hourly rate.
Pay Range: $24.09 - $26.57 per hour.
Hours: 2:25pm- 11:00pm (Overtime as production demands including weekends)
Position Overview:
Your contribution will ensure that Johnsonville products are of the highest quality and meet our defined standards of safety. You'll learn about a variety of line processes, expanding your existing knowledge for application into the business of making sausage. There is unlimited opportunity for growth as you become an active contributor to the Finished Goods Line Team and assist your team in the quest for continual improvement.
Responsibilities:
* Operate and learn different machines/positions on the line which may include:
* Labeler
* Wrapping Machine operator
* Case packing operator
* Quality Enhancement Specialist
* Casings
* Meat Delivery
* Stuffing operator
* Traying
* Line Support
* Proper set up and teardown of equipment
* Accurately perform SAP transactions in regards to job duties
* Take ownership for your personal safety and the safety of all Members working around you
Education:
* High School Diploma Preferred
Experience:
* Machine Operator background preferred
* Ability to obtain forklift certification and maintain a good safety record if job duties require a forklift
* SAP experience preferred but not required
Skills and Competencies:
* Basic Mechanical skills /aptitude necessary for equipment set up and operation
* In depth knowledge of equipment functions and the ability to assist in troubleshooting
* Ability to read and understand a production schedule
* Identify and resolve potential problems
* Ability to work independently without direct supervision
* Must have desire to learn and grow and share information with fellow Members
* Willingness to continuously improve performance and job knowledge
* Excellent prioritization skills
* Must have a very keen eye for visual inspection purposes and a strong attention to detail as it relates to product quality
* Excellent attendance and performance record
* Proactive team player, dependable and detail oriented
* Must be able to identify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and maintain all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
* Must be able to read/write and complete production documentation accurately
* Strong written and verbal communication skills required
* Must be at least 18 years old
Physical Demands:
* Must be able to hand grip up to 50 lbs, and lift/carry/push/pull up to 30 lbs
* Walking and/or Standing throughout the shift
* Bending and/or Reaching throughout the shift
* Willingness to work in cold conditions
