Summary & Responsibilities: A TeamMember will be integrated into the wholesale Production Nursery. Teammembers will focus on production of shrubs, perennials, trees, annuals, and propagation. The teammember is responsible for carrying out job duties as directed by their immediate supervisor or Team Leader. Teammembers will have the opportunity to work on a large scale “plant farm” where millions of plants are grown annually. Teammembers will have a hands-on approach as they learn the aspects of the Natorp Operation such as, but not limited to the following:
Assisting on the potting lines or on set-down
Assist propagation by seeding, taking cuttings and sticking cuttings
Culturing plants - spacing, trimming, pruning, fertilizing, and weeding
Assist order harvest & assembly - pulling a variety of plant material out of growing areas
Physical Demands:
A TeamMember's job requires a degree of physical endurance, an ability to work with and around a variety of plants and equipment.
Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold and wet conditions
Ability to work in a fast pace agricultural environment
Ability to walk or stand on concrete or gravel
Ability to bend, pull, reach, and lift a maximum of 50 pounds
Mental Demands:
Ability to understand simple instructions (Written, Verbal and Demonstrated) and carry them out with minimal supervision

Machine Operators safely run our fast-running envelope machines in a production factory. WHAT DOES MY WORKDAY LOOK LIKE IN THIS ROLE?
Primarily responsible for the quality of the product being made by the machine they are assigned.
Maintain adequate levels of adhesive and paper to ensure a continuous production cycle.
Apply standardized inspection procedures to all envelopes produced.
Maintain speeds set by the adjuster and supervisor for each job setup.
Loads, unloads, and moves materials, tooling, and finished products within the plant
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
Operates a hand truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

Qualifications
SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE IN THIS ROLE HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS
Prior experience operating a machine specifically in a production/manufacturing facility.
Proven experience operating fast moving machines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals is required.
