* Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering or related field required
* 3-5 years of experience in estimating
* Management experience preferred
* Prior knowledge of cost control systems and experience in the use of computerized estimating, quantity takeoff and scheduling programs
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Ability to read and thoroughly understand construction plans and specifications
* Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
* Ability to problem solve and communicate corrective actions quickly and effectively
* A valid Oregon driver's license. This position may require some travel
* Ability to work flexible schedules as estimating and project management demands fluctuate
* Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: * Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections, services and annual Interstate inspections * Complete all paperwork that may be necessary on a variety of units, including construction equipment, paving equipment, trucks and trailers and mining equipment
* Ability to obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver's license, including Hazmat and tanker endorsements, a medical card and clean driving record: Knife River will assist with training and expense
* Must be able to obtain your own PM technician hand tools by end of probation, Knife River does provide large tools and has a replacement policy
* Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed
* Other duties assigned as needed
Hours: 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM
$3.00 swing shift pay differential
Minimum Qualifications:
* Extensive One on One on the Job training will be supplied for this position!
* Must be a reliable and highly motivated self-starter, who can work without direct supervision
* Ability to obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver's license, medical card and clean driving record: Knife River will assist with training and expense
* Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen
* Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members
