Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Lead a fleet of 10+ drivers and manage driver availability to maximize productivity of their fleet. Routinely review P/L for assigned area and find ways to maximize profitability.
* Develop high performing drivers through daily interactions, coaching and positive reinforcement.
* Meet drive home time expectations by actively managing expectations and keeping commitments.
* Maximize P/L for all assigned tractors and trailers.
* Proactively manage safety performance to achieve insurance and claims cost as a percentage of revenue targets.

Continually focus on driver training and driver retention by building and maintaining driver relationships through understanding and meeting driver needs. These needs include, but are not limited to home time, payroll, utility, equipment breakdowns, logging violations, equipment issues, etc.
Responsible for account profitability and growth.
Monitor drivers load assignments to achieve customer service expectations.
Monitor drivers safety needs, pre-trip inspections and CSA scores to ensure safe, legal and on-time delivery of freight.
Demonstrates a commitment to safety, with the support of corporate safety department, enforcing compliance with Federal, State and Organizational rules and regulations.
Interface with various departments such as billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, and fuel.
Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures while making safety conscious decisions.

**Qualifications:**
Minimum Qualification: High School Diploma/GED with up to 4 years of equivalent education, experience, and training AND/currently enrolled and working towards degree program(s) with up to 2 years or equivalent education, experience, and training AND/OR Bachelor's degree with ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed. Must be willing to travel to account, customer, & company event locations when applicable.
Preferred Qualification: Bachelor's plus 1 year of or equivalent education, experience and training, prior internship training.
The expected starting pay range for this position is between $46,200-$69,300.
